I had my eye surgery here, best decision i've made. My surgery went amazing and I am seeing perfectly. Not only am i extremely satisfied with the surgery but as well as the staff and doctors. They are very welcoming, professional and informational. My overall experience was a 10/10 and I would definitely recommend this office to anyone considering having lasik eye surgery.

Omg!!! Awesome experience from intake to test. Completing the request for appointment was simple. On the test day, the office wasn't crowded, and I was able to be in and out and have a good laugh with the tech. I would recommend this to anyone that is considering Lasik or needs an invasive eye exam

After over 20 years of wearing glasses, I finally decided to get LASIK. From the very first consultation, I was treated with utmost care and explanation. They took all the time I needed to understand everything before, during, and after the surgery. They made sure I knew everything I needed to know. On the day of the surgery, I was treated so well that time flew by, and I didn't feel a single bit of pain. I was completely comfortable throughout the entire procedure. Now, two weeks later, I can see 20/20 and I'm loving life without glasses! I am thankful to Dr. Tam and the entire staff for giving me this wonderful gift of life without glasses! I would recommend TLC to anyone that is planning to get Lasik.

Review based on first consultation: Was recommended to this center by my eye doctor. When making the appointment, staff was very helpful and informative. Their is an ample amount of parking space. The center inside is modern, clean and smells very good; as well as the bathroom. The wait time was short and I did not have to wait a long time at all. The staff in the clinic was extremely nice, especially Lilian who guided me through what the procedure would be like and everything I needed to know before surgery if I decided to go forward with it.

I couldn't have made a better decision in choosing TLC in Coral Gables. When first starting my search where to have the procedure done, I made a series of appointments with Bascom Palmer for their supposed prestige and name recognition. It's important to note that all of what I'm about to say is to give an informed opinion to those reading and not to merely critique. The experience at Bascom Palmer from start to finish was absolutely horrible. There was only one doctor present, Maricarmen Perez Blanco, who was always in a foul mood, did NOT like follow up questions being asked, and made it a point to let me know that I was asking "too many questions", never mind this being surgery done on my eyes, but why should she feel annoyed by some random patient who had valid queries and concerns? The final straw for me was being asked to take antibiotics for a month and when I once again dared to ask questions why in the world I would take these for that long a time, I was basically told in the most condescending way there were to be no further questions and that she was repeating herself to me. The waiting room was always full to bursting, people being made to wait well over their indicated appointment times, and on one visit a young woman drove all the way from Naples only to find out her appointment was never recorded in the system. After (understandably) getting upset and demanding she be seen, Bascom Palmer relented. I never set foot in Bascom Palmer again (nor will I). As someone recently said, "Bascom Palmer is coasting on its past reputation, but is hardly what it purports to be". I 100% agree from experience. Lesson here: Never assume a place like Bascom Palmer is "the best" on face value. Dig deeper and see if that accolade is true and earned. After this giant waste of my time, I was referred to TLC of Coral Gables by loved ones who had refractive procedures done previously, and from day one the detail to attention and professionalism, friendliness and being made feel welcome were truly felt and appreciated. Dr. Stelzter, Dr. Aran, the ladies at the front desk and in the operating suite were all top notch. Dr. Steltzer checked my eyes, gave the go ahead, and on August 4th, I had my procedure done, bam. My surgery went GREAT, and THE Dr. Alberto Aran was my surgeon that day, which was so cool and made me feel at ease also. Almost 5 months later I'm 20/15. During all my follow up visits, all the ladies at the front desk have been phenomenal and with the same warmth and friendliness I experienced on day one. I've recommended 3 people to TLC since. Thank you TLC of Coral Gables for giving me my sight back and to your staff for their professionalism! To anyone in the Miami area, or elsewhere, I hands down highly recommend TLC of Coral Gables 100%.

I loved the process from the beginning to the end! My vision is 20/10 now, I couldn't be more happier. The doctor is very good, the staff also , my surgery and recovery was easy and painless. Highly recommend this clinic
