The Eye Associates - Ellenton

This is not a review of my doctor. This is a review on the rest of the practice. I very much dislike this business. They are completely disrespectful to every patient's time. Typically, you may have an appointment at 1 o'clock, but by the time you sit for the first waiting room, and then the second waiting room twice more, it will be close to 2:30 by the time you finally see the doctor. I know that dilation has to be done in some cases, but you will have a long wait no matter what, whether you are being dilated or not, EVERY SINGLE TIME. The second problem is if you try to reach them with an eye problem after hours. I was told that if my vision had any changes to let them know right away, but when I had vision changes ( an area that was suddenly grayed out) I called their answering service. And it turns out that they won't take calls or pass on messages to doctors from 10 PM to 8 AM. That is terrible. Vision changes don't happen only during the day. I had a vitrectomy done to one eye, and was going to have the other one done, but I was bumped from the appointment and the couple of make up times they tried to give me were impossible for me to get to. I didn't want have to wait months, so I'm just going to have to go somewhere else. It's like the Eye Associates has way too much business anyway, thus the horrible service. I would never recommend this practice to anybody else. In fact, I'd recommend anywhere else, and I will also find another practice, one that has some efficiency and respect patients more. It won't be hard. I know what will happen now. I will get this canned response. It is the same response that they give every bad review. It shows how little they are really concerned. "We value your feedback and are sorry to hear about your recent experience. We strive to offer the very best experience to all of our patients and your feedback will help us improve." They don't care. They have enough business. UPDATE: As you can see, they gave exactly the canned response I said they would. To me, this shows a lack of true concern and they are just providing lip service. How about actually fixing the problem?

My 2nd appointment here and very pleased m Dr. Taylor Davis is great, takes time to explain, let's you ask questions and is very personable. The entire staff seems great, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Will be having my eye surgery there shortly snd am going to be followed there each year rather than back up north! Highly recommend them and their services.

Excellent service from the inception of a phone call. I explained the urgency of follow up due to my recent surgery and they accommodated me right away. They also referred me to a specialist and the office personnel were excellent and the front desk went beyond her duty and contacted the referral dr right away to see me. Most grateful and thankful. Most other places said the wait was for 1 to 2 months and did not care about the urgency.

I go here for all my eye needs. Drs are all professional. The staff is attentive and caring... from Charlotte, to Debbie, Keisha, Lech and Kylie...Dr. El-Jabali, Dr. Camp...All work as a team to make for a pleasant experience. (I only ask Eye Assoc to please return the National Geo videos that were so relaxing to watch.)

My first visit for an eye issue and they got me in the same day! There were several patients there, but everything went smoothly and I didn't have to wait. All of the staff was very polite and professional. Dr Camp did a thorough exam and explained his findings. I will definitely return and would highly recommend this office.

The Eye Associates at Ellenton is a center of excellence, with a wonderful team from the front desk staff to the specialist physicians. The personnel who handle the preparations prior to seeing the doctor work in a very well-coordinated manner, showing great kindness and a high level of expertise. I would especially like to thank Dr. Taylor Davis who is outstanding, highly knowledgeable in his specialty and very approachable. Every visit has been a positive experience thanks to the warm and professional care of the staff.

Second visit at this office and it could not have gone any easier from making the appointment through the complete exam. The front desk staff is very welcoming and the assistants are very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Dubin took a good deal of time with the exam and explaining everything to me and giving me options for a couple of minor issues. I highly recommend this practice if you need eye care.

Dr.Camp is simply the best! The staff and front desk is amazing. They work quickly, efficient and treat each patient with care and concern! Love this practice!
