Dr. Wendel is absolutely amazing with children with disabilities. Staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Dr. Wendel sees our entire family. If you are looking for an Optometrist, I would highly recommend Dr. Wendy Wendel.

I was referred to Dr. Wendy Wendel by a retired ophthalmologist who indicated to me she was the best in our community. My first visit confirmed this. I conveyed to Dr. Wendel that a friend of my lost her eye because she ignored the early warning signs of a detached retina. After reviewing my history and completing my initial exam, Dr. Wendel educated me on symptoms that warrant immediate attention. This was the first time in 60 years of routine eye care that an eye doctor took the time to sit down and explain to me how to prevent common eye problems, including those commonly associated with aging. She has a way of making you feel like the most important patient in her practice. Her ability to create an atmosphere that is relaxed, friendly, and unrushed trickles down to her staff who are likewise very friendly and competent. Dr. Wendel also uses a very technologically advanced machine (I don't remember the name of it) developed by NASA that creates baselines and other measurements that can provide early-warning detection of developing problems. At the time of my first appointment, she was (and may still be) the only optometrist in our area who invested in this technology for the benefit of her patients. This commitment to preventive care and early detection has turned my wife and I into lifelong fans. We are both Realtors running a busy brokerage. So we also appreciate that her practice runs like clockwork. We've never had to wait more than 5 minutes beyond our scheduled time. My wife also really appreciates her on-site optician because he always fixes our glasses for free (I sit on mine a lot), guarantees 100% satisfaction, and helps my wife pick out styles that get her lots of compliments. Wonderful office. Very professional and caring. Dr Wendell spends alot of time with you and all your questions get answered. And if you have an emergency the office helps you right away. I highly recommend Dr Wendell.
