Clarkson Eyecare

I was very pleased with my first visit to Clarkson Eyecare in Gulf Breeze. The staff was very professional and courteous. With such a convenient location, I look forward to continuing my association with Dr. Gerhard for my eye care.

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. April Gerhard at Clarkson Eyecare, Gulf Breeze. From the intake clerk to the technicians to the doctor herself, the appointment was smooth, and thorough. The wait time was short and I felt like my eyecare needs were being met. I would happily recommend her and her staff to someone searching for eye care.

Had a really frustrating experience here. My son's glasses broke within just 6 days of getting them -- he picked them up on a Wednesday and by the following Tuesday they had already broken in two different places -- one near the bridge and one at the corner of the frame. Not only did they fall apart so quickly, but they were also uncomfortable and even painful to wear. For something that should last and be reliable, this was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, I work night shifts, which makes dealing with repairs and replacements very complicated and frustrating. At this point, I've requested a full refund and will be taking my prescription elsewhere. Awaiting a response from them through their "contact me" page. Hopefully it's a smooth and painless process. Update: Called in the morning on 8/30 around 9 am and was told I'd get a call back. At Noon I didn't hear anything regarding my call, or my "contact us" email, so decided to reach out since I had spare time on my lunch break and was told the manager had left for the day? Hopefully I'll receive a call back tomorrow. Update: Really happily surprised with the end result with this issue. The team took care of me when I returned and replaced the glasses for me free of charge for a different style. They even offered me a temp pair while I wait for the new set to arrive. Look forward to trying on the next set.

Dr Gerhart was very thorough, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I would recommend her for anyone.

Dr. Gerhard at the Gulf Breeze location is so knowledgeable and thorough! I have seen her for the past decade for my cataract, dry eyes, and yearly refractions and she is always patient and interested in general health that I always glean good insight from her. I wish all of my doctors were just like her!

As always, the Clarkson team in Gulf Breeze was wonderful to work with during my eye appt. Dr. Gearhard is so good at her job, knowledgeable, always explains what's she's doing & a sweet lady! I appreciate everything they do for me & my vision is not a simple thing to work with!!

My appointment was canceled because of a double booking, despite my early arrival they refused to see me. They could have called me and rescheduled earlier (saving me a trip) but they waited until I was already there. I was informed that the next available appointment was over two months away. They have no respect for their patients' time.

We were out of town when my son's glasses broke (screw fell out, didn't have the tools handy to fix). The folks here were wonderful and got us fixed up quickly and back on the road! Thank you!
