After initially giving a positive review I have had numerous problems. This all started after the eyelid lift that they (wink wink) help you through the test so it will be covered. Trust me, you are better off going to a cosmetic surgeon and paying out of pocket. One lid had perfect stitching but was cut too short. I have no scar but the eyelid spasms and does not shut properly. The other lid almost had too much skin and a messy scar. Not sure who did the cutting and stitching but it was not the same person for each eye. I had floaters so bad I had to have vitreous surgery in order to see. Also I was never told my $5900 lens implants would need laser cleaning someday. It was covered and apparently is common but it would have been good to know. And yes, they do schedule you about an hour before he comes in. I had 3 eye surgeries done by Dr. Alan Freedman recently at the surgery center in Hudson. I am absolutely delighted with the results and the process that got me here. I can't say enough about the care I have received at both the office in Crystal River and the surgery center in Hudson. Great experience!

I am a surgeon and owner of a surgery center. I am also a patient of Dr Freedman and just had cataract surgery on both eyes. As you can imagine, my eyesight is precious to me and necessary. I went to the Suncoast Eye Center due to its reputation among my fellow physicians. They were not wrong. Scheduling, visits, surgery and follow up was excellent. The staff was courteous, kind and efficient . During this troubling times, they were able to put me at ease. I know what good preventive measures are and saw them in effect at every turn. Dr Freedman was informative, kind and skilled. The surgery went very well and I was home in short order. There was no discomfort and recovery was fast. I am happy to report that my vision is perfect for the first time in many years. I know how hard it is to maintain such a good team and such high level of performance especially during this pandemic. Kudos to Dr Freedman and his staff. He has my deepest gratitude and highest recommendation.

Dr Freedman just did my father cataract surgery. My father can see perfectly for the first time in decades without glasses. He was treated wonderfully by the physician and the staff. Though this is a scary time to have any surgeries, he was put at total ease by the team. I highly recommend Dr. Freedman to anyone looking for excellent skill and care. Very pleased.

Highly recommend Suncoast Eye Center. They have been extremely helpful getting my grandmother the care she needs. They sent a van to pick her up and take her to and from appointments. She was quite apprehensive about her eye surgery but she felt so much better after talking with her driver Don on the way there. He was prompt, friendly, and very reassuring. My grandmother received excellent care and attention. Very grateful to the staff at Suncoast.

Dr Freedman did cataract surgery and my eye is way worse. Painful. Feels like sticks in it. It's been a month. I had my other eye done in Clearwater. Never had a single problem.

On October 30th Dr. Alan M. Feed man performed Cataract surgery on my left eye. He caused pain and suffering for now 90 days. He botched the Cataract surgery by creating wrinkles on the surface of my cornea! Imagine the feeling of having a scratch feeling 140,000 times a day as my eye lid slides over the wrinkles on my cornea surface. Do not go to this man for Cataracts unless you are willing to endure pain and suffering the rest of your life!

I just left this center. From the beginning of the transaction with making an appointment three of the staff I encountered were brash and /or condescending. 1. making the appointment via telephone, after being asked if I was a current patient, (I was not) the next thing was what insurance do I have. I stated Florida Blue. Then there was a whole discussion about what one, because there are 12 types. I told her what was on my card. All she wanted to know was if it was a PPO or HMO. She didn't even know what I wanted an appointment for at that time. To me that screams We are most interested in the money---how are you going to pay me. I should have gone elsewhere at that point. However, due to my medical friends recommending Dr Freedman I did not. Now on the day of the appointment I go in and my phone starts ringing, I answer it to say I am at the doctors office and have to turn my phone off and will call back once I am done there. So the receptionist chastises me for having my phone on! OK... I count down from 10. Once in the exam room Luanne is asking me questions in a loud tone of voice, I am wondering if she thinks I am deaf or just in a bad mood. She doesn't ask objective questions, she asks with an answer and I am to state if it is correct or not. She yells at me that they must know the type of tree the branch came from that poked me in the eye even after I tell her I don't know many times. Then she is annoyed when I prefer not to disclose the reaction I have to a drug listed as an allergy (given for a pituitary tumor). Finally, she stops and asks me why I am mad! I state yes, I am mad. I do not like being treated like this. She gets up, walks out, leaves the door open so I can hear, and states someone else can finish with me since she isn't going to put up with me. I must say that the person that came in after her know how to provide excellent customer service. I also want to state that I worked for the optometrist That both Dr. Freedman and Dr. Siegel come to every month or other month and we treated the patients very respectfully and professionally. I expected the same treatment. I am a medical professional and I treat all my patients with respect, courtesy, and provide excellent care. I am very disappointed in this practice experience and will never return. I will certainly share this experience on social media as well so others do not have to live this experience.

Many thanks to my man Dr freeman if you have a cataract and dont think you will ever be able to use that eye again you got to check this guy out i had a bad thick one and didnt think i would ever be able to use my right eye again but here i am one week later and i can see out of it what a great feeling it is the gift of vision i was anxious and had doubts about the surgery i thought it surely must hurt but it didnt just uncomfortable but hey jab a hole in your eye and tell me it wont hurt i just want to thank this Dr for giving me my sight back he is truly a gifted surgeon i even and i do so apologize his name is Dr Frredman recommended my daughter to him
