Family Eye Center South/ Dr. Anthony B. Trawick

Made an appointment for 1:30. I was not told over the phone that I had to be there 30 minutes early, that was apparently conveyed over text. Arrived at 1:30 and was told I missed my appointment. I took the day off to make this appointment and they were going to charge me a broken appointment fee to be seen again. No thanks.

Our family really appreciates Dr. Trawick and his office! Chris, Debbie, and Alexander are always so helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and supportive.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Trawick for several years. In the past, Dr. Trawick and his staff have been thorough and professional. I recently went in for my annual eye exam. The office was warm and I sat in the hallway well past my appointment time. I understand things happen, so I just let it go. Dr. Trawick was thorough, completed my exam, and escorted me to the front desk to check out. Once at the front desk, Chris asked Dr. Trawick if he had "talked to me." There were several other people in the lobby, all within earshot of Dr. Trawick, Chris, and me. At that point, Dr. Trawick proceeded to inform me (and the entire lobby) of a missed appointment, an alleged history of missed appointments, and a balance on my account. I will take responsibility for the missed appointment (just one), but to humiliate me in front of several other individuals was unacceptable. Your appointments are very private and behind closed doors. This conversation could have been had after the exam and before checkout. Fast-forward, my husband had an appointment for the following Tuesday. On the Thursday before, his schedule unexpectedly changed. I immediately called and spoked to Jeanie (spelling?) and explained the situation. She said she would cancel the appointment and I informed her we would reschedule when we knew he had a confirmed day off. On Tuesday (the day of his appointment) I received a phone call inquiring about my missed appointment. It was Jeanie and I informed her I had called the prior week to cancel. She claimed she did not know anything of that. I provided her with the exact date and time and what was said during the conversation. Jeanie was rude and condescending. She said she'd take care of it and I inquired whether or not we would be charged. Later that day, I called and spoke with Debbie. I expressed my concerns about being confronted about private matters in front of others and then the canceled appointment that was never removed from their schedule. I stressed that I wanted Dr. Trawick to know i had canceled the appointment in advance. She said they had the logs and confirmed I had called to cancel the week prior. (Which confirms they didn't believe me and were going to charge me) Debbie said she would address the issues in their staff meeting on Wednesday and would call me with an update. I still have not received a phone call. As far as this office goes, I'd consider them unprofessional and rude. I'll take my business to someone that doesn't run routinely behind and values the concerns of their customers.

If you want the BEST eye exam you will ever have, you must go to Dr. Trawick. Not only is he the kindest man, he does the best exam. I know he spent an hour with me and answered so many questions I had. I have gone to so many different eye Drs. But never anyone as good as Dr. Trawick. He is worth the wait to get in.

Dr. Anthony Trawick and his staff waited on me to get there this evening to see him (closes at 5pm,arrived at 5:10)although I wasn't a patient of his he took care of me like a normal patient of his, he didn't rush me out , he took his time and found the small rock imbedded in my eye, removed it and treated it. I've been a Landscape & Irrigation professional for over 15 years and being a self employed contractor it's always my first commitment to take care of the client first even after hours, just as Dr. Anthony Trawick . He has earned our business for me and my family here on out. Thanks Again.

I haven't been to an eye doctor since I was a kid and from the moment I walked in the door I felt like family. The front desk staff not only greeted me but told me their names and said don't hesitate to ask if I had any questions. My wait was not even 5 minutes then I was taken back to do my dilation and she talked me through the whole experience no surprises. After that I waited about 5 minutes to see Dr. Trawick and he walked in the room very friendly, open, introduced himself and shook my hand. After doing the most thorough eye exam I can even remember he went over his findings with me and explained what the next step was. He was so interested in my personal life and I feel like that's the best thing about Dr. Trawick is that it isn't just eye exam have a great day and he leaves, he actually cares about you and your family and your life. I will never go anywhere else besides to this office and if your on here looking to see if its a good idea if you or your family member goes here the answer is you wont regret it.

So my daughter had an eye screening done at school, next thing I know I'm getting a letter sent home asking me to have her see an Optometrist. We are fairly new to the area so I didn't know where I should take her. I googled and found Family Eye Center South Dr. Trawick with the highest rating near me. I called and made the appointment, and since of course with Covid running amock, everyone is booked. I understood and had no problem waiting a month out for a new patient appointment for her. So the day finally comes and the front office staff were cheerful, talkative, and very professional. We were put into a room quickly and her exam started. Dr. Trawick made my teen feel very comfortable and explained to her about why she was having blurry vision far away. He even helped her pick out her new glasses and they look exceptional on her! Thanks again for making what should have been an awful experience for a teen an exceptional one! I could never thank ya'll enough! I will definitely be referring everyone that asks to you. Thanks again!

I visited this office, and had a wonderful experience. I have never had an eye exam before, so I was alittle nervous. The staff at this location, take their time to make you feel at ease. Caring and knowledgeable staff is what you need when you're having trouble with your eyes! I give this office a 10 star rating, they were kind and respectable to me and my son! I highly recommend going here.
