I had a very sore eyelid that in turn was irritating my eye... new to the area as a winter visitor , I found LEC thru Google search. I was able to get an appointment the next day , which was amazing.
Dr Sichelman discovered a "stye" on the inside of my eyelid and "popped" it so it would drain.
The relief was immediate! I am grateful for quick service and his knowledge & expertise in addressing my issue. Only improvement in rating would be thru faster front office process and better communication from the same: I was 7 minutes early checking in and sat in waiting room for a half hour .

I was at the office for over 3 hours for a simple exam. The only explanation given was "it's crazy here on Tuesdays". Dr Gill was great, Steve Phillips was very helpful, the rest of my experience was terrible. My insurance allows for 2 pair of glasses but for some reason the office would only allow me to pay for one pair of glasses and said I can't pay for the second pair until the first pair is picked up. Then I will have to make a third trip to their office to pick those glasses up. I have had the same insurance for years and have never had to order my glasses this way. Very inconvenient. I won't be returning!

We love Dr Gil. She has seen both my kids, who are now adults, for years. I see Dr Leon, and she introduced me to prism glasses and it was life changing. The problem is that they need more office staff and/or a good office manager. For some reason they have called to reschedule me multiple time for my next appointment. When I try to call back to schedule another day,, no one answers the phone. Just hold music. A recording says you can leave a message, but when I try that, the mailbox is full. I am currently on hold going on 19 minutes now. You can do better Lakeland Eye Clinic. If I were an eye doctor, I would not feel comfortable with my office ignoring the patients and not answering the phone. Also, my health insurance tells me I have double coverage with VSP and BCBS and should not be paying for refraction if they accept both insurances (which they do). I told the office staff this and they disagreed and always charge me for refraction plus copay.

Get reminder emails and texts to make an appt but THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. And the front desk staff? Beyond rude. I switched clinics yesterday once I was on hold for 25 mins and still never got to talk to a soul.

I was on hold for so long, I was able to drive there from over 20 minutes away. When I told the lady of my experience, she didn't even apologize. However, the lady who helped my daughter with her first time putting in contacts was amazing.

Asked what the technician was about to do in regards to a test and was ignored. Asked again, and she just said "a test", and was rude and short after that. The entire staff was rude, honestly, from the receptionist to the techs. They just flat ignore you, and if they have ask or tell you anything, it's with the worst tone and the least amount of words.
The doctor himself was a little bit better, not outright rude like his staff, but not much and overall mostly unhelpful. Would never go back again and would never recommend anyone else to go there either.

The eye doctor I saw was nice. The customer service was the worst. I had picked out some frames but could not have glasses made until I had gone a week with the contact prescription. When I went back, they had lost the frames they were holding for me. I then went to Sam's and had the glasses made. After getting them I could not see properly. Sam's gladly returned the glasses for a full refund. They stated that the product they make the lens's from could be causing the issue as it could be slightly different than a doctor's office. So I went back to Lakeland Eye care had glasses made and still the same problem. I had intended to see the doctor for a correction to the rx, but they would NOT (and were rude about it) refund the glasses. And let me tell you the price was nearly double that of Sam's and the prescription was written by their doctor. Very dissatisfied. They should have returned them until I can get back in to see the doctor and get new glasses made from anywhere I decide to go. Not pigeon hole me into theirs again. Not at all satisfied! Now until then, I have no glasses and they have over $400 of my money.

If I could give this place more stars, I would.
I was a patient at another clinic and they always charged all these copays for all of these extra services. The other day they wanted to charge $140 in copays (not including contacts/glasses) and refused to see me if I didn't pay for all of these unnecessary tests. And this office is in-network with my insurance.
So I came to Lakeland Eye Clinic and when I left I only had to pay my $10 exam copay. No extra nonsense.
I know I'll need to pay a little bit towards contacts and such, BUT not being gouged in made up copays means I can spend more on what I need.
The staff and doctor (Gill) were all so friendly and professional as well. I am VERY happy with this office. They also got me in last minute, which was impressive!
