Sam's Club Optical Center

I highly recommend you get your eyes examined at this location! I rarely ever write reviews but I feel compelled to after the care me and my son have received here. The two doctors there are brother and sister and me and my son have been seen by both. Each time we received quality care. My son was even fit for contacts there and they were so patient with him. It's crazy to me that poor reviews even exist for this location. I must say, from reading the negative reviews I'm sensing that the authors aren't telling the full story. It's absolutely wild to me that someone even said keep your kids away, especially after the quality care my son received. It sounds like a bunch of angry people with stuff going on in their lives who are trying to find a way to vent. It's a shame they're doing so while simultaneously trying to disparage others.

Purchased glasses from this South Lakeland location last October spent $500. It is now September my glasses broke called them. I have no warranty. They said they no longer sell that frame that they have no other frames that the lenses would fit. Do not spend money at Sam's Club optical. They are awful. Went to family eyecare in Winterhaven. They got me fixed up with a pair of frames that were very reasonably priced. I have my glasses back and family eyecare of Winterhaven has a new customer.

The optometrist here was very thorough with the exam and got me to the prescription I needed. Was very kind and I like that it's a family of optometrists working here too.

No respect for their customers. I had scheduled an appointment but was asked to change the appointment and made the accommodation. Was 4 minutes late for the changed appointment due to traffic and was told the optometrist just left. He was in the parking lot and would not come back. I did call to let them know i was running 5 min late but was put on hold for at least the same amount of time i was late. When I called the store to let them know about what happened i was told that the optometrist was an independent and there was nothing, they could do about his decision to leave. I know I was just a few minutes late and I own that, but I did try to call and did rearrange my schedule for them as requested. The breakdown in my opinion is with the optometrist by not having the courtesy of making a call to make sure I would still be coming before he left the building and the store that basically said there is nothing they could do because they were independent and independent from the store. I guess the optometrist has a great gig to do what he wants without SAMS CLUB having no say in the bad reputation he can cause. If I would have received just a little of concern when I called about this I probably would not have posted this. If your going to Sams club for vision find another one who cares about their customers.

I was in Sam's today just shopping and I've had reoccurring issues with my glasses sliding down my nose I decided to stop at the vision center and have them adjust my glasses. Of course they were kind and said they could help me but it ended up with the temple top of my glasses getting broken and the associate acted as if she didn't know! She fixed my glasses brought them over to me and said there's not much I can do back here because it's too thick but I tried to make them higher on your face. Immediately when I put them on I noticed the temple tip, the part behind my ear, was not sturdy and folded as I was putting it on. I took them off and looked at the tip and the associate said does it feel funny on that side? And I just looked at her and she said that's the side I tried to adjust but it's just too thick. She broke it and wasn't even going to say anything and now I have broken glasses that fit worse than they did when I went to them. I definitely will not be back for anything glasses related.

Very clean club and the employees are very nice & friendly especially Marlene. You can tell she likes her job...she smiled the whole time she checked us out.
