Rowan Eye Center

Truly a wonderful place to go! I stopped in the other day to ask what services they provide, seeing as I was looking for a new place to go to for me and my mother. The two young girls at the front desk were so helpful, Lina and Satin! And Cheryl in the optical department was a hoot! Looking forward to bringing my mother to see "the miracle worker" Dr. Rowan!! LOL

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Rowan and his entire staff are excellent. I had cataracts in both eyes removed. One eye had some long term swelling. Dr Rowan provided reassurance all would be fine. He calmed my fears. Took his time explaining everything to me. From my first phone call inquiring if they accepted my insurance until my last visit... I could not have asked for a better doctor to operate on my eyes. Dr Lawless... I had 2 visits with her and she extended the same level of care as Dr Rowan. Her explanations were calming, simple to understand and kind.

The Dr was pretty good but the office staff are so bad you should probably avoid this place entirely. I was overcharged every visit, after I paid in office, I got bills sent for more money which were impossible to read and understand. My prescriptions were sent to wrong pharmacy everytime. There are much better places that will save you a tonne of frustration.

Worst experience ever. Had to wait longer than told for Eyewear ordered then after they arrived still told we couldn't pick them up. Then when we arrived staff was rude and had 14 excuses as to why. The attitude was disrespectful and accused us of telling a lie about what thier Staff told us. Highly unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend such a disorganized, rude provider. I'd leave zero stars if it were allowed. BTW... you can count the glasses being at least $600+

My wife and I were patients here, until last April. My wife called saying something was going on with her eye, losing vision. Samantha was rude and wouldn't let her come in. We had to find someone else, hours later, and he sent her to THG ER. He said if she had gotten in a few hours earlier he probably could have done laser surgery in office to prevent the detached retina. Thanks Samantha for your uncaring rudeness. We won't be back, and we can't recommend the doctor because of you.

Rowan Eye Center is a scam! Absolutely outrageous! They took $138.61 from us and then refused to give my husband his prescription because he didn't buy their glasses. Holding it hostage to force people to buy from them is disgusting business practice. That's unethical and unacceptable. We will never step foot in this place again, and I warn anyone considering them to look elsewhere unless you want to be scammed out of your money and prescription.

New patient here!!! From the moment I walked in I had a great vibe here!! Everyone from the front staff, back staff and Dr were so sweet! It was such a breath of fresh air. The office was super organized and I was in and out no time. Glad I found this place and will definitely be a frequent patient going forward.

I think Dr. Rowan and Dr. Havens are superior medical providers. I would recommend both without hesitation were it not for the office staff. I was told today when I showed up on time for an appointment that they had a new appointment system that had been installed a week before and that it had not "pulled" my appointment from the old system. The receptionist was able, however, to view my appointment on the old system which was displayed on a monitor that was positioned immediately adjacent to the new monitor. She asked me if I could rebook the appointment for several hours later. When I pointed out that I had received email and text reminders, she said that they were being sent by the old system. When I asked her why they hadn't called me since they were aware of the glitch, she said that there were so few patients involved that it didn't warrant the time to double check to verify that all patients had "crossed over." My conclusion is that the staff members are in dire need of customer service training. I was told they would "work me in." While I was waiting, another patient who had checked in an hour before became frustrated and asked two different staff members when she was going to be seen. They could not give her an answer and she finally just walked out. After a half hour wait, I left too. Again... the two providers are excellent... but I won't return.
