They don't take my insurance here, but I was given such a great exam a few years ago that I decided to come to Walmart E. Silver Springs Blvd. and pay out of pocket. SO glad that I did, Dr. LaMela is so thorough & takes time to really examine her patients' eyes. She answered my questions & was able to explain a problem that I have been bothered with for a long time. I still had frames, cheap ones, from 4-5 years ago, nobody tried to up-sell me or push me in to anything more expensive. I got my new glasses within a week, which is so much faster than the place I went last time. (Ordered prescription sunglasses when I went in to pick up my glasses.) They fitted them well & quickly, everyone was friendly and professional. I just can't say enough about how happy I was with the whole experience at this Walmart!

I need glasses with 4.5 prism for each eye. I had exams and glasses made elsewhere with poor success in getting good vision, to the extent of having unwearable glasses $$$. More importantly I was worried and frustrated I would never get satisfactory vision. But fortunately, Dr Lamela is excellent examining and prescribing when prisms are necessary. Beth, Licensed Optician, at Silver Springs Walmart Vision Center, and Dr Lamela went to great lengths to match my prescription to type of lens, eye measurements and even how i position my head. I now have excellent vision and comfort with my glasses. I can not express enough appreciation to Beth, Dr Lamela, Jason, and the entire staff at Silver Springs Walmart Vision Center.

I've gotten the best eye exams at this store. The dr takes her time and gives you a really good exam. I am female and every frame I bought fell apart within a year and I found myself going back time and again for repairs ( which they did no questions asked) but last time I found a great pair of frames in the men's section. Ive had new lens twice since and the frames are still solid. And get this, only 69. Bucks.

My son was sick for over a month and they could not figure out why he had lost his vision in one eye, I took him to the doctor at the Walmart vision center and she immediately sent him to Shands hospital, come to find out he had cat scratch fever, if it were not for her seeing that he had optic neuritis he would still be blind in that eye--the doctors ran all kinds of tests and determined it was indeed Bartonellas (cat scratch fever). This doctor is very intelligent and deserves a big kiddos, thank you!

Terrible customer service! The are open until 8pm. We walked in at 6:30 with my granddaughters prescription and she refused to order her glasses. Told us you have to be there by 6pm. She kept telling us we should go someplace else that had more choices of frames for kids. We found 2 pair of frames and wanted to order her glasses and she wouldn't do it. She said she couldn't check her insurance for one pair and the other we were paying out of pocket and she still wouldn't order them. We finally got her to write up a price with the frame numbers and we will be going to another Walmart to purchase.
