Palatka Vision Center

So I was grinding and welding and got some metal in my eye. I showed up to the office this morning with no appointment and they took me right in and Dr Gene Miles (the son) removed the problem. This is the second time I have been here and this place is first class. Very friendly staff and they get the job done efficiently. I only do reviews if it's outstanding or really bad, and Palatka Vision Center has my highest recommendation.

I've been coming here since I was in highschool, I've moved 45 minutes to an hour away but I still drive back for my appointments because of the great staff and how amazing the doctors are. For the first time I came in for my appointment and had the wrong time on my calendar so I was 30 minutes late to my appointment. I honestly was on the verge of tears due to how many months out the appointment was booked, how far I drove, and I had to rearrange work. The lovely lady at the counter took the time to see if I could be fit in without me asking or saying a word. She knew nothing about my situation until I shared after she offered. I'll never stop making the drive for this kind of experience! Thank you so much!!!

Called Palatka Vision Center explained my husband had something on his eye. Had him come in immediately and they removed the object. Professional , welcoming, efficient, will definitely come back here.

I made a second return trip to get a clicking out of my frames and to have them widen. The 1st support staff with the two different shades of hair color was very nice and tried to help me. She asked her coworker #2 with blonde hair and red eyeglasses to assist her. (I don't know their names and hair coloring and wigs are fine with me.) Coworker #2 asked Coworker #1 what did I expect since the frames only cost $30. I told her I expected them to work and if they didn't the Vision Center shouldn't sell them. I left the Center without getting my glasses repaired or adjusted. The glasses are only a couple of months old. I am not wearing them because they have caused a sore behind my ear. Medicare paid $400 toward my eye exam and I paid $150. I have a write to save my money and not be judged. I wrote a letter to Dr. Fred and told him what happened. I don't believe he received the letter because he is always kind and personable. I know he doesn't want his staff judging his patients or putting down their products. As a result, I decided to write a review.

What a proficient office and staff, especially Jaima I hope I spelled it right. They got me in and out and made sure I had glasses that fit me well and looked great and truly cared about everything involved!! The Doctor was in no hurry and made sure my prescription was perfect! Best experience in over twenty years with glasses!!!

grandmother has been going here for years, a "valued customer," right? Had an appointment for a short exam, but she waited almost two hours to be seen. Exam took maybe 20-25 minutes. At checkout, she still had to wait because the receptionist answered a phone call before she finished up with gma. Stood there for another ten+ minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. Staff accordingly or schedule less appointments?

When the lady at the desk said: "we all have busy lives, we will get you in when we can" I should have left. Instead, I left 20-minutes later. Doctor's go to all sorts of seminars to learn how to make more money. May I suggest respecting your customers time? In case your wondering, I didn't get a call or text. Perhaps they still haven't noticed. It's only been an hour past my appointment time.
