Great experience! No eye drops needed, all their equipment is state of the art. Danette helped me find the perfect pair of glasses.. she really knows her stuff! Definitely recommend them.
I had order 2 par of glasses, one came in the other was a few days behind , Danette the manager recognized that they are the incorrect pair , she had quickly reordered my glasses and made adjustments to frame of pair I had I stated they were uncomfortable I demanded my money back, but she saved the day. She took her time. Make sure the glasses I had ordered this time would be here promptly. She gave me a small upgrade, I was very grateful she had saved me as a customer as my daughter and wife both frequent your establishment. If it wasn't for Danette , you would've lost all three of us.she is a caring thoughtful and business first kind of person ! I will be back because of her and her people skills ! Yay Danette !!! She is golden in our book !
BACTERIAL INFECTION IN BOTH EYES HOURS AFTER EXAM / TRY-ONs
One star because I couldn't give less.
Went in for an eye exam and to purchase glasses Thursday 2/19, within hours developed bacterial infection in both eyes that landed me in the ER less than 48 hours later, Saturday 2/21 6:30 am. Vision impairment continues days later, nasty medication for a week, inability to wear my own glasses or drive, many days lost feeling miserable, without vision and interrupted from my life.
I was told that there is no way they can keep try-ons disinfected, too many customers. YIKES! It would have been my pleasure to clean every pair I put near my precious eyes had I understood they were not clean. After three failures to respond - I was really told that management is too busy with in-store customers to discuss - I called one last time, informed my charge is cancelled. No way do I take my eyes, or any other part of me, into that place again.
We made an appointment and got in within 3 days and at the time that worked for us.
Fri at 3:30. We were greeted by Jean and she got us checked in. She thanked us for doing the paperwork ahead of time on line. It was great not having to do paperwork .
We started looking at frames and within 7 minutes LeAnn called me in. LeAnn was friendly and very professional. She asked if I wanted my eyes check with the retinal imager which I declined, she didn't try to pressure me into spending more money. She did all her testing and then I returned to look at frames. LeAnn took my wife next. Within 5 minutes Dr Hubbard called.me in. She was very professional and pretty awesome. She took the time to talk about my vision history and to get to know me as.a person, then she checked my eyes very thoroughly. She determined that my eyesight hadn't changed enough to have to get new lenses. I thought that was awesome because she didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need. She did determined that my eyes are being effected by my medication (amiodarone) which has induced cornea toxicity. My cornea is getting cloudy which is making my vision to be blurry at times. She wrote a note so that I could give it to my cardiologist, to see if there is a different med for me. Dr Hubbard took good care of my wife and she's getting all new glasses. My wife had to see Joey next to get the lenses marked for where her sightlines are. Joey was really nice and had a great sense of humor which is good when I'm around. Joey carried himself very professionally. Sam came over and did.het job, which was to put the dot on Joey's line on my wife's lenses. We laughed about that. Since I was.there I thought I would see if they could adjust my frames and Kyle was the man. He was professional and did a great job on getting my frames to fit great on the first time. My experience at America's Best contacts and eyeglasses was nothing but fantastic. Dr Hubbard, LeAnn, Joey, Kyle, Jean and Sam was nothing but professional. Will I go back? Well we do have to to get my wife's glasses in awhile. But, Yes I will go back, this is a great place to get your vision figured out. And I will refer people to this business.
I will not be returning to America's Best.
I received contacts with the **wrong prescription**, making them completely unusable. When I went into the store to resolve the issue, I was told I had to contact the online ordering department. After multiple follow-ups over several weeks, I was ultimately told that too much time had passed for a refund or replacement--even though the error was **not mine**.
The only resolution offered was a small discount on a future purchase, which felt like being treated as though I was at fault for their fulfillment mistake. I made repeated attempts to resolve this responsibly and was bounced between departments instead of being helped.
Mistakes happen, but how a company handles them matters. In this case, there was no accountability and no meaningful effort to make things right. Unfortunately, this experience has cost them a customer.
I came in for a eye exam and possibly get contacts instead of glasses. I am a first time wearer of contacts and was very nervous about the whole procedure of putting them in, and more so taking them out. Everyone there at this store were very helpful and put me right at ease. I will be recommending America's best at university to all my friends and family. You are the best!!!! Thank you so much.
I am very disappointed with the inconsistency in scheduling at this location. We were turned away because we were 9 minutes late, which felt extremely rigid and not patient-centered.
I have been loyal to this eye center for my family for a long time and have never gone anywhere else. Because of this experience, I will not be returning -- especially to this location.
Audrey and Joey were genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met. They went out of their way to help me with my contact lenses and it was definitely the best service I've ever had at an eyewear store.
