Since 2018 I've been a patient, three things have remained constant; 1. Professional, helpful, and friendly staff, 2. State-of-art equipment, and 3. The best team of ophthalmologists in the greater Tampa area who can meet your all of your vision needs.
My child and I have been patients/clients at Kaufman Eye Institute (KEI)for more than then years, and we have always been well cared for by the entire team.
I highly recommend them if you are in need of a change or need to show your eyes some TLC for the first time.
Thank you for always being fantastic professionals, KEI Team, kind, personable, courteous, and flexible.
We and our eyes appreciate you
Kaufman eye institute was a very pleasurable experience until dealing with Sean in the optics department getting new glasses. He was not very helpful during the initial selection of glasses. He was very quick to upsell the tint changing glasses and the scratch protection. After about 3 weeks of having the glasses they became very hazy and could not wear at night due to the halo around street signs and distorted lights. I brought them in and he told me they look fine and my eyes must have changed. This has been an awful overall experience due to the optics department.
I love going to the Kaufman Eye Institute. They have been taking care of my eyes for many years. The staff is are wonderful and Dr Kaufman has taken such good care of me. Dr Marquis was wonderful helping me with my contact lenses!
I regret having to post this, but I have to do it.
Be very careful if you go without insurance. They promise you one amount for an exam and, in the end, they charge you another.
I asked the receptionist how much a glaucoma test, which they themselves recommended for my wife but was not covered by my insurance, would cost me.
I asked them what the total would be and they gave me an amount.
Believing that this was going to be the entire expense, they scheduled me for a second appointment just for the results. I was greatly surprised when, two weeks later, I received a bill for more money.
"For the results consultation" even though I had asked the receptionist how much the total cost was because I did not want any surprises later.
Furthermore, on the day of the supposed results, they didn't charge me, as they normally would after a consultation.
What angered me the most was that when I called the billing department, a woman, and explained the information I had been given in the office in order to accept or decline the test, she told me that unfortunately there are new people in the company and they make mistakes. To this, I replied that I thought it was very wrong for the company to pass its problems on to the clients.
In conclusion, they said they couldn't do anything about the bill and that I should do whatever I thought was appropriate, showing a complete lack of interest in customer satisfaction.
It's a shame they have these people working there when there are others who need the job and treat clients better.
First of all, the office staff are wonderful. Joanne did the preliminary exam and she was great. Doctor Munger is excellent and has a wonderful sense of humor. I suggest checking his back ground, he excels in his profession. All in all a very positive experience.
Dr.Cranberre is such a welcome addition to the Kaufman Institute she checks each and every box which constitutes a good doctor. Actually, she's a great doctor, easy to, talk to, empathetic and understanding.
Our lucky stars were shining brightly when you decided to leave Texas and come to . Florida.
Let me be clear. Kaufman Eye Institute is a Premier health care provider. As a retired Public Health Care Advocate, I came to realize after relocating to this area, what little accountability, there is to providing excellent customer services. The Kaufman team has consistently demonstrated a sensitivity towards my family's care. They restored my faith after a difficult experience with another provider and performed successful cataract surgery and follow-up care for diabetic eye care. The staff has consistently shown respectful sensitivity towards my photophobia and resulting anxiety, thereby reducing light stress reactions during office visits. I have been a patient for over 7 years and highly recommend this team.
