I don't have enough words to thank Dr. Shareen M. Greenbaum. Her level of professionalism is top-notch. She has operated on three of my family members (my mother, my aunt, and my uncle), and all of them are beyond pleased with their surgical results.
The care they received at The Surgery Center of Weston was unmatched; the entire staff is attentive, organized, and very compassionate. Dr. Greenbaum is not only a brilliant surgeon, but she also takes the time to explain everything with clarity and patience. I recommend her with my eyes closed. The best in Broward and all South Florida!!!
GREAT DOCTORS ****HORRIFIC PRACTICE**** I'm giving 2 stars because the quality of the doctors is excellent, especially Dr. Nahmias, but the quality of communication in the practice is horrific and gets a -100. This practice advertises themselves as "Eye Surgery Associates is one of the largest multi-specialty ophthalmology practices in the Broward County area," yet you leave messages for billing, referrals, and they disappear. You don't get calls back ever. I have to make several phone calls to resolve billing issues, schedule surgery, get referrals, etc. I am promised calls back that never materialize. I have new insurance as of January 1, 2026 and I called for them to get a referral from my primary care physician for my appointment tomorrow. I was assured it would be taken care of, but surprise, it wasn't. I will update if they charge me the $50 fee for not showing up because I don't have the needed referral that THEY FAILED to get. If only I had been able to contact the referral department directly through a portal, perhaps I would not have had to rely on someone giving a message to them that never got to them. Even if you have someone's extension, they never answer the phone, and do not return phone calls. And when you do finally speak to someone, you have to wait on hold for way tooooo long.
Why doesn't this practice have a patient portal like MyChart to streamline communication, requests for referrals, questions, billing issues, etc? Working with this practice is very stressful and difficult. I stay because the quality of my doctor. Whoever manages this practice needs to get into the 21st century with communication. I'm sure they lose patients because of the EXTREME frustration. I am looking around for a different doctor because the difficulty in getting things resolved is too much.
UPDATE: The referral I requested in early January and again last week, was never acted upon, so I had to change my appointment for today. They are unable to see me until April. Unbelievable.
I had an appointment set for my three year old son this morning and everyone was very accommodating with him from the medical assistant that did his initial assessment to Dr. Dorfman who was very child friendly. We had a very pleasant experience.
I was so happy at first when they took my child into the back 10 minutes after I checked in, but then they did a preliminary check and sent us out to the lobby to wait for the doctor. WE WAITED 2 HOURS before they finally called us back just for the doctor to be with us for 2 minutes. That alone was a complete disrespect and disregard for other people's time. Never in my life have an encountered a doctors office run in such a terrible manner. Please read the other 1 star reviews, I'm not the only one complaining out the outrageous wait time. DO BETTER!
My visit to the office was unexpected, and I didn't have an appointment. However, the young man at the desk was able to get permission for me to be seen if I had time to wait and be squeezed in between appointments. I agreed to the terms. I was a bit anxious because the doctor I had seen for the past 15 years had recently changed his association with the group and now had an office that was further than I had wanted to travel. That morning, I went to the old office because it is close to my house. By the time I left the office, I had been made to feel welcome, was finished with the doctor in about an hour and one-half, and had met my new eye doctor. I will miss my previous doctor, but this office is just a few blocks from my home. I am so excited. The new doctor, is young (newest training methods and info), very informative (about medical condition and problem), very pleasant, very positive attitude, and VERY KIND TO AN OLD LADY (age 90). The medical assistants and office staff were terrific as well. Most important, I am following Dr. Nahmias' directions, and my eye is feeling better already!
Unfriendly staff, very poor bed side manners and no respect with the time of the appointment, waiting time is incredibly long.
Doctor is very good and knowledgeable but the whole staff makes you feel they are doing a favor to be in there. I wouldn't recommend overall.
Is a nightmare with the awful kiosks. When is so much quicker with a desk person helping. Do you understand that everyone hates them!! Do something! Also the waits are too long when people have appointments. Stop over scheduling for your benefits
The processing flow is very smooth and comprehensive. Friendly staff. Dr Sinchai was very clear and thorough explaining my current condition and treatment options
