I have tried numerous times to get through to the billing department. I was sent a bill via text message, but it was just a total. I need an itemized bill so I can compare with my insurance statement. Also, for tax purposes, I need a statement showing everything I paid in 2025. That includes all paid via credit card and check. We asked three times of the girl, Crystal at the front desk in Lavonia. We were there three different times for cataract surgery check up and on the third visit she printed up a statement with only the credit card payments. Clearly, she didn't have the knowledge or initiative to learn how the first time we asked. I am still waiting on the billing department to call back. I will say that when BOTH Nicholes were there we never had a problem.

This place has become terrible with communicating. I had to reschedule an appointment a few weeks ago, and when rescheduling, informed the receptionist I would need trials or to order an extra box of contacts to get me through until my new appointment. They transferred me to the appropriate number where I left a message. I never received a call back. I called multiple times and could never get through to order contacts. I called today to see if I could get some trials. I was informed by the VERY rude receptionist Meryl that they could not give me trials because my prescription expired. This was strange seeing as how I have been able to get trials before. She did bump my appointment up to an earlier day, but was very short and rude with assisting me. I went to the office, hoping there was someone who would be more willing to assist me with looking for some samples or call the other location to see if there were any. Unfortunately, Meryl was there and continued to be incredibly rude and not willing to help me in any way. When I left I heard her slam the desk with her hands. I was able to call a new eye doctor and get an appointment today and samples until my order arrives. I suggest customer services training for you receptionists if you don't want to lose any more customers.

Dr. Dong and the entire team is simply amazing. If you were going to see them, then you were having some concerning eye issues. But, they do an incredible job of mixing care, concern, and state of the art competency!

I don't think I've ever written a 1-star review before, but my experience with this facility was so disappointing that I feel it's finally time to share. It's been two years, and no one has ever tried to make things right. In Fall 2023, I scheduled an eye exam and a contact lens appointment. The contact lens specialist was kind and made a plan to try a new prescription. I explained that I was running out of lenses and needed the updated prescription soon so I could order more. When I got home, I realized the prescription she gave me was one I had already tried and that didn't work. I called right away to explain and asked if we could skip that step and move forward. Someone took a message, but that's where everything fell apart. From there, it became impossible to reach the contact lens specialist or get my prescription. No one returned my calls. The next available appointment was weeks away. I left messages for the office manager and even tried escalating the issue--but no one ever followed up or offered help. I paid for a contact lens exam and never received a usable prescription. In the end, I had to go to Walmart Vision Center just to get my needs met. In my experience, the office was disorganized, communication was poor, and the office manager was unhelpful and unfriendly. The staff I met in person were pleasant, but the overall execution was the worst I've encountered at any medical office. I sincerely hope things have improved since then, and I still wish someone would make it right by refunding the exam I paid for but never received the benefit of.

Great place. The staff was terrific. They guide you through your appointment efficiently but with kindness. The doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything well

Usually, great. But this time the young Dr was in such a hurry to leave, that he forgot to sign the prescription for my glasses. Therefore, I had to make an extra trip to pick up my signed prescription. The staff was great! I give them a 5.

Friendly staff and Dr Dong is knowledgeable and spends time working with me until all problems are solved. 20+ years of wonderful eye health and care.

Great staff and doctor. I've been going here for years and they are very competent and professional. Dr. Dong is great!
