Cherokee Eye Group

I had a very positive experience bringing my son to Cherokee Eye Group for his first eye exam. Dr. Nations was so patient and thoroughly explained everything in a way that he could understand. She listened and answered all of his (and my) questions. He had a great time trying on different glasses frames and was so excited to get his new glasses. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will continue to use this practice for our family's eye care.

The doctor I saw was thorough and kind, however the contact department is beyond satisfactory. I work 9-6 and because of this had to schedule my appointment two weeks out to be able to request off, which was no problem, however they insisted on ordering a new brand of contacts after coming to the conclusion I had astigmatism in one eye, switching the brand I have been using for 6+ years, and finally I agreed. However, they had to order the trial because they didn't have it on hand and told me I could just come pick them up whenever I had the chance, after calling to confirm my sister could come pick them up after they had arrived (because again, my work schedule doesn't align with their hours of operation) the lady on the phone told me I would have to schedule another appointment to be able to get them, keep in mind this was the first time I heard of this after asking thoroughly while I was at my appointment that this would not be an issue for me. I let her know that wasn't feasible for me since I would then have to wait another two weeks for that to be possible and needed my contacts now because I was almost out and so that I would just order them online with the copy of my prescription they gave me at my last visit and thanked her for her time. I was frustrated but just thanked her for her time, However I was very upset that after that, she kept me on the phone to tell me that I would not be able to do so unless I still scheduled another appointment because my prescription "wasn't finalized". Thankfully I was aware that she was blatantly lying to me and giving me misinformation. I ordered two pairs of glasses with the same exact copy of the prescription they gave me at my appointment about a week after that with no issues, and was just going to get my contacts through them as my insurance covers those. This interaction has made it very clear to me they simply only care about money, see their patients merely as dollar signs instead of real people, and have zero interest in helping you if it has no monetary value for them. I have now only had one contact the past 2 days as I'm waiting for the ones I ordered (with my perfectly valid prescription) to arrive in the mail. I'm extremely disappointed, again the doctor was amazing and was looking forward to sticking with them, but this left me with a horrible feeling about them.

I am blown away with the professional staff at Cherokee Eye Group. I was apprehensive about going to a new doctor and especially about having to get new glasses. The staff made me comfortable from the moment I stepped in the door. I want to give a special thanks to Brittany for all of her help in getting the quality of glasses that I need while taking my limited budget into consideration. I will definitely be recommend this office to anyone in need of eye care.

I love Dr. Nations and this entire office so much! I would NEVER go anywhere else! They are all very kind and treat us like family! I have been coming here for many years! I and my family have been seeing Dr. Nations and the staff at Cherokee Eye Group for over 10 years. I've always felt comfortable with them and that we were being taken care of both medically and personally. If you live or work in the Canton area or anywhere in Cherokee County ... these are the folks that will take care of your eye health and treat you right.

My wife, kids and I have been going to Cherokee Eye Group every year for 14 years. They are knowledgable, helpful, and kind. If I leave a voicemail, the call is returned quickly. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

The office staff and Dr. Nations are very friendly and the office itself is nice and a great location. They return phone calls promptly. I really wanted to like them. The problem is #1 Dr. Nations prescribed my son an ointment for an eye infection with sulphates in it after I told her he had a sensitivity to them. His eye got worse and worse over the course of 5 days. We came back for a follow up and she prescribed him another antibiotic with sulphates in it and we were told it would not clear up without one. She did not listen and she was wrong. I treated him at home successfully with natural remedies. #2 We were charged for said follow up #3 We were not billed for the follow up for 3 months when we received a "fee statement" that was 61-90 days late.

Great doc! Dr. Nation is very caring and listens well. The staff is friendly and run the place like a well oiled machine. I never wait more than a few minutes. My only complaint would be the parking, but its not a huge ordeal. I had to park in an "iffy" spot, but then there were only 3 patients. I assumed it was due to all the employees.
