Dr. Malerbi and staff are great with the eye exam. The ladies in the front and in the glasses section were nice. My only issue is the quality of the glasses I bought. I decided to get the anti-glare/anti-scratch, but didn't get the protection plan since I was having trouble with prescriptions working for me, and the protection plan doesn't cover new lenses if the prescription changes (i.e. it wouldn't transfer if I had the lenses redone). Plus, it would be $25 for new lenses even with the plan. I had my glasses for a month and there is already a line/scratch on one lens, but I don't know how it got there (didn't drop/know of scratching it). When I talked to someone about my issue, I was told the scratch protection isn't 100%. I've only had these glasses for a month, and it cost me $290. If I wanted to replace the lenses, they can't replace just the one with the scratch, but have to replace both lenses. With insurance and the anti-glare/scratch, it cost me around $280 for just the lenses.
I read that some Pearl Visions might not replace lenses, even with warranty, on scratched lenses. Talking to an associate at tis location, though, it sounds like they do.

I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE!!!
I called the Pearl Vision in Dalton, Ga several weeks ago and spoke to the Hispanic girl who answered the phone. I told her that I was looking for the Silhouette brand rimless frames and she said that they carried them so I asked if they could make the lenses wider to accommodate my wider face and she said she would check. She put me on hold then came back on the line and said that they could do it. So I said let's go ahead with scheduling me an appointment. The only date available was Christmas Eve at 10:15 so I agreed that would work. Fast forward to my appointment, my fiance and I get there early so I can try on frames. We walk in and was greeted by the Hispanic girl that I spoke to on the phone. We told her that I was there for my appointment, she asked for my insurance card so I gave it to her. We started looking at frames for a few minutes and the Hispanic girl calls us back over to the front desk to ask us to sign the paperwork for the exam expenses. I politely declined to sign until I could double check and make sure they could accommodate my need for the extra wide lenses as I have ran into this problem at other doctors where they "lock me in" so I cannot go anywhere else to get my frames covered by my insurance. The older lady sitting next to her that took my email information (Holly) then rudely said that I had to sign and that I was responsible for the cost no matter what and that the frames were a completely separate thing. We calmly tried to explain our situation 2 more times, each time she got louder and more hateful, demanding that I go ahead and sign. All in front of the hispanic girl and another customer sitting right behind me. Finally, she told us to talk to the optician who was across the room. The optician was polite but told us they did not have a technician who could make custom lenses even though we were told they could over the phone. I told her how rude Holly was and she was very quick to apologize and said she would have a talk with her. On my way out the door I turned to Holly and said "ma'am, next time don't be so rude." Then she yells sarcastically across the building "Merry Christmas, Sir." I left and I will never do business here because I do not like liars, having my time wasted, and having to deal with rudeness on top of it all. Hopefully management will make some changes in staff.
Went in for exam and eyes were good except for needing readers for computer and reading. Doctor said I could keep using cheap drug store readers or he could write a prescription. Why not I thought, you only get two eyes. Long story short after spending $450 dollars or so I was told "...it is expected your keyboard will be blurry when you can see your screen with these glasses". Most absurd statement I have encountered. I was 100 pct clear that a prescription for computer work was my soul desire. Beware.
My son got his first pair of contacts today, the staff was so nice and patient as he had to try taking a contact out and putting it back in. It took a long time for him to put the contact back in, they were all so sweet at trying to show him different ways. He eventually got it, but I was so thankful for their patience with him throughout the process. My husband and I have been going to Pearl Vision for a few years and have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend them!
The doctor was extremely professional, and explained everything he was doing beforehand. I knocked off one star as they got my prescription wrong on my glasses. I ordered a pair of occupational bifocals (computer distance on top, reading on bottom), but they came in with distance vision on top.
I absolutely love Pearl Vision after 8 years of being a customer it keeps getting better and the prices are very reasonable. The doctor is very informative and professional.
The Dr is great, he handled my husband and I very well with respect and kindness but the frames were extremely expensive as well as any add ons and the lady's at the end were ready to close up shop so they didn't ask us about contact orders or anything just rung up the frames I chose and after telling me that my insurance allowed $150.00 on frames, only charged insurance $117.00 then handed me the receipt and unlocked the door to let us out!
BEWARE! 12/24/2025 - We called weeks ahead before making an appointment to make sure they could widen lenses as my Fiance needs extra wide to fit his face they assured us they could. Once we got there we respectfully declined to sign the paperwork for the exam expenses until we made sure he could get the frames he needed since there was no need for an exam if he could not get glasses that fit. The Older lady at the front desk (Holly) was very rude and said he had to sign the paperwork and he was responsible for payment no matter what. After we calmly explained our situation 2 more times she kept getting more hateful and finally told us to talk to the optician across the room. The Opticians were polite but explained to us that they no longer had a technician who could make custom lenses, even though we were told over the phone that this was something they did. Thankfully we did not sign any paperwork because we were only fed lies. I would stay far far away from this place. You are better off going to Walmart to get an eye exam, trying on the glasses in store, then ordering the brand and style you like online because the prices are 1/2 the price that you would pay at a the doctor anyway.
