I am extremely disappointed with my experience today. Before driving over an hour from Conyers, my mother called and confirmed her appointment time. She was told that arriving by 4:08 p.m. was acceptable and that there was a grace period until 4:20 p.m. We arrived on time, only to be told that the call center "has nothing to do with them," which makes absolutely no sense for patients who rely on that information to plan their visit.
After advocating for her and explaining the situation, they assured us she would still be seen, only for my mother to walk out moments later saying the doctor had already left for the day. This was a complete waste of time, gas, energy, and schedule rearranging. There was no accountability, no urgency, and no regard for the fact that we called ahead and traveled a long distance.
Patients deserve honesty, communication, and consistency, not to be misled and dismissed after doing everything correctly. I truly hope management addresses the lack of coordination between the call center and the office so no one else has to go through this.
Good lord. Nice building and plenty of staff that does nothing in Griffin. 90 mins for a standard exam and the female Eye Doc (never introduced herself) needs to have an attitude adjustment. Dry, monotone, and rude. NOBODY at the optical side to wait on anyone. 5 people waiting. Ridiculous. Customer service is non existent at the Griffin location.
My last couple of exams have been in the Locust Grove office without any issue. This year I decided to try the Griffin Office. Took two hours for 20 minute exam. Could not find anyone in their optic area to order my contacts, left and called later in the day. Called 4 weeks later to check on the status of the contacts..left a message never received a call back. I called the office 4 days later to only find out there is an issue with the manufacturer. I dont know if they this news was new to them or if they failed to call, regardless it should not have taken 4 weeks and for me to call. For now they are going to order trials with another company. Let's see if those come in next week. At this point I am open to looking at other options. They should have better customer service and be on time.
The entire Takle Eye Group team is FANTASTIC! They serve in harmony with one another and the patient load to best ensure an efficient visit. I felt they respected my time and I'm comfortable and confident in their findings.
I met Dr Bajaj while going with my cousin Pam to see him. My eyes have been burning for a few months. I was so impressed with him that I made me a visit before I left. His entire staff is so kind and caring. He took the time to look at everything with my eyes and I truly appreciated that.he has given me drops to help with it and so far they are much better. I go back in three months and if I need him before then, he said to make sure I reach out to the practice to schedule and earlier appt. I look forward to having him care for my eyes going forward. Thanks Dr Bajaj.
The doctors are great. The staff nice, but the wait is horrible. Arrived with my sister for a shot in her eye at 1:30pm & it is now 3:44 & we are still waiting. Everyone in the waiting room has complained. How come the staff that schedules cannot do better. Most of the people here are older & waiting & sitting so long is hard on them.
I am an Army Veteran and was completely disrespected and dismissed by this office. I called to make an appointment and spoke to Carole. She asked me what my symptoms were for the purpose of making the appointment. I told her the actual name of the disorder and a symptom. She then requested more symptoms. After questioning why, she put me on hold and left me there. After 20 minutes of being on hold, I called again and spoke to Savannah who claims she was supposed to have picked up the call because Carole told her I was a hostile call. Yes. You read that correctly. The supervisor, Savannah goes on to explain, they need to know specific details when making appointments so that they can triage who gets seen the soonest. They have limited staff and if my condition is deemed by them as not being serious, (Them being the receptionists - not medical), they will give today's appointment to someone else and send lesser issues over to next week or give a home remedy over the phone. I'm a US soldier. And to be dismissed like that is so hurtful. Veterans are already treated poorly by the medical community and to be treated like that at this institution was awful. I'm unfamiliar with needing to give symptoms over the phone to receptionists in order to book an appointment.
Is that procedural in getting an appointment for a gynecologist? Having to provide perceived ED symptoms before one can get an appointment with an Andrologist? Does one have to describe the symptoms of a cavity in order to get a receptionist to approve their dentist appointment? Like when does that end? If this is how I am being treated by receptionists, then I can't imagine how I would be treated by the Ophthalmologist.
Everyone is very nice, friendly and professional. They are a very busy group, in high demand. So therefore there is a wait. That is the only issue I have with going there. Dr. Takle is very nice but to the point and explains everything that is going on in your situation!
