Walmart Vision & Glasses

This company replaced the previous company that had been in walmart. I never dealt with them until I needed my glasses repaired. They took 2 months to fix them, and then called me about coming to get them. In fairness I was really busy and kept putting it off. Eventually, today I went in to retrieve them, and they told me they disposed of them. Not once when they called for me to come in to get them, that they said the glasses would be disposed of if I didn't come in. That's $300 dollars they just disposed of. I was loyal to the previous company for nearly 12 years. This company, however, will not see any business from me. Downright criminal.

Went in with a specific issue and made an appointment for after work on a Friday. They immediately took my ID and insurance card ans went through a quick exam which I said I didn't need. They had me take off my contacts, rendering me, for all intents and purposes, blind. When I finally saw the doctor, she told me she couldn't address my issue and I'd have to see a specialist, even though I've had the same quick procedure done several times beforehand. I knew exactly what I needed but she instead performed a procedure to dilate my tear ducts which she said didn't appear to have any issues. When I told her that I had specified what I needed when I made the appt and what she was doing was no help whatsoever, she pulled her authority card and suggested that patients don't know what they need and it was her job to find out. I insisted this was not the case and suddenly she said she felt unsafe and left the room. How could a doctor, in a position of power, suddenly play victim was beyond my comprehension. She was happy to take my insurance money and fail to render the service. I asserted my right to expect the service I was specific about before making the appt. They should have told me beforehand they couldn't do it. Very upsetting experience, not professional and greedy.

I have always been very pleased every time I've gone to the Walmart optical shop and this time was no exception. I ordered two pairs of glasses and was impressed with the frame selection. Store manager Whitney helped me and was very considerate of all my needs. She explained everything very well, including the costs. I will continue to use Walmart for all my optical purchases. .

Whitney and Vanessa were amazing at helping me navigate replacing lost glasses, a revised prescription, and doing it all in a timely manner. The kindness, professionalism, availability, customer service, and creative problem solving I experienced was exceptional. Thank you!

Yesterday I called for an appointment and got an appointment the SAME DAY! I was given professional service. Yes it was done quickly, and some of the exam was remote, but it was affordable and done right! You can order your glasses and contacts on your way out. I got an email that my order shipped this morning. (Less than 24 hrs after calling the office) I'm happy

This review is specifically directed towards the Optical team. Their employees consistently provide fast, efficient, hassle-free service with a great deal of Aloha. My insurance gives me other choices, I choose to stay there because I feel well taken care of. There isn't much interaction with the Dr.'s office, but my recent visit was great.

I was helped by Whitney, the Vision Center Manager, and she saw my problem and was able to help me right away. I will go back when I need a new pair of glasses. They had gotten in a lot of new frames so there are a lot of choices.

I have been wearing contact lenses for almost 20 years but this was the worst optometry experience I have ever had. Rushed exam with the doctor mostly in another room. I told the doctor what lenses I wear and they wrote me a prescription for a different brand. The prescription was for the brand that I was given a sample pack for. When I called to get it changed they refused and told me I would need to get another visit somewhere else. The manager was not helpful and did not offer any solutions just told me I was out of luck. I'm sure there are plenty of other brands they could offer me but instead of doing that they just want to act like I don't know what I am talking about because they have been in the business for so long. Go anywhere else but here.
