My daughter had trauma to her eye due to a skiing injury. The ER doctor wanted her to be seen the next day by an eye doctor. I called and left a voicemail explaining the situation. Dr. Porter called immediately and got her scheduled for 8am the next morning. Her eye was very swollen and she had a severe concussion. With that being said she felt miserable. He and his staff have been exceptionally careful and considerate of her comfort. I have nothing but good to say about this clinic from the minute we walked through the door. Both receptionist were very kind and thorough. Thanks to everyone at Iwasa for helping her get back to "normal" feeling. God bless

High praise for all the staff, doctors and team of Iwasa Eye Center! Due to my autoimmune system I've been having some pretty difficult eye issues and at times been pretty concerned, but the thoroughness of the doctor and the positivity of the staff has made such an enormous difference in getting the help I need. They really work hard to get to the root of issues, come up with a sensible game plan and work with your insurance to help get things done! Huge ACES!!!! NEW SPECS coming soon! Onward on taking care of my eyeballs too!

Went in for exam on 6/22/23, needed new lenses, called on 7/20/23. Lenses had not been ordered. Discussed the poor quality of customer service. It was agreed upon that half the cost would be reimbursed. On 7/31/23 finally went in to get lenses put in husbands frames. Spoke with the representative and had to remind her of who we were, and about reimbursement. Husband spoke up at this point and told the individual not to take what he was about to say personally. He never raised his voice, not once. He explained in no uncertain terms, the lack of professionalism and customer service. He explained to her she would hand him the check for half reimbursement before she got his frames. She said it has not been done. He said when I get the refund I will hand over the frames. He said I've done without for over a month I can wait a bit longer. The manager came out at this point to handle the situation and she informed us that the employee was in the back crying. Again, I reiterate his voice never raised but he did express himself and told her this was not personal. The manager wanted to take his frames and again he looked at her and said when I receive the $205.00 then we will complete the business at hand. We did receive the refund and he got the new lenses. But he did inform the manager, that with his macular degeneration you would think that the organization would do better to ensure not only his prescription but any customer would be ensured their prescriptions would be received as promised. In business customer service is imperative, you have to take the good with the bad and it seems in today's society and in this particular case "hurt feelings" were more important than providing good sound customer satisfaction. He also informed the manager that he would never utilize their services again. Since we have been home he has informed others what had transpired and a couple of them said "wish you would have told us where you were going, cause we got shafted by them."

Iwasa Eye Center has taken care of my eyes for at least 20 years. I won't go anywhere else. Dr. Dan Iwasa is very good at what he does, caring about his patience's, and the staff are all helpful. When I had a concern about one eye, I was worked in that day. Love that.

Overall terrible experience. Delayed treatment for serious issue. Terrible communication, Dr did not listen to me and made assumptions even when I denied his assumptions. I saw the doctor twice, he seemed caring and honest, but in the end he nor his office was. It took me 3 months to get a straight answer about what I even owed to pay my bill. The mistakes this doctor made in assumptions missed a serious health problem. He now denies dismissing what I said, but missing a stroke in someone's eye and letting it go for 2 extra weeks is inexcusable. Though he now states they won't shut down at Christmas anymore....which was not the issue. The issue was he ignored me. He could've solved this 1st day he saw me. But he Even took it upon himself to follow up with my retina specialist...which is completely inappropriate and a violation of my privacy...I'm guessing he fears I will sue him. That isn't me, but hopefully if you are looking for someone who will listen to you.....you will not take the same risks I took. Also btw after the 3rd month of me calling asking for my billing amount due I was given 20% off as a best he could do. Never asked for a discount, just to know what the bill amount was, because no one could figure out what was going on. Please try somewhere else for your own sake.

This place is so high tech and AWESOME! They do an eye pressure test without the eye drops to dilate your eyes! This is the best eye exam I've ever had. Staff are friendly and informative! It takes a few weeks to get an appointment and it's well worth the wait!
