I went in because I had trouble seeing at night and had my exam and was told I had cataract but nothing severe to doing anything about and I told them that it was hard to see at night and they could not do anything about it and surgery wasn't on the table because it wasn't bad enough. I went through this for a couple of months and then I went to a different eye doctor and they told me I had severe cataracts and that's why I'm having problems seeing at night. I got car rack surgery and it changed everything for me I can see a lot better at night and I actually help my vision during the day. I don't recommend these people because I don't think they're exams are accurate or the people doing them don't know what they're doing.

These guys are amazing!!!! I went in with massive eye pain found out my previous eye Dr. retired without notice and I had been to one other Dr. who didn't do a full exam, and told me it was probably just some dust, to rinse it and use dry eye drops and sent me on my way talking to me like I was just overreacting and he had better things to do. 3 weeks later the pain was so bad and I booked an appointment with Summit. When I told her what was going on she searched her appointments and found there was a cancellation at one of their offices and got me in the next day. Dr. Guymon, not only did he do a full exam and didn't make me feel dumb about the eye pain, He found I had an autoimmune problem in my eye, gave me samples, so I could get relief immediately and treated me with absolute respect and validation for what I was going through. They are my new eye Dr.'s for life!! I can't tell you how amazing the support has been from the office staff also. I was shocked to get phone calls back within a couple hours instead of days even during the holidays. If I could give them 7 billion stars I would because 5 just isn't enough!! Thank you Summit Eye Care for caring it is appreciated more than you know!!!

I've been going to Summit for a number of years. I usually see Dr Jared Birch.. they have a great staff and they're efficient. They've worked with me on my insurance which is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't recommend them more highly

The Dr was great. However, when selecting glasses, they are scandalous. Underhanded tactics by the sales person to get you to upgrade. I told her I did not want any upgrades, because I wouldn't be wearing them often. So here's tone immediately changed to make me feel stupid, then tried to charge me an extra $60 on my lenses for a BS material fee, above my insurance. I basically told her to go pound sand, and now I'll go elsewhere

Dr Birch was very thorough and explained things very well. He made me feel like he genuinely cared about me and wanted the best possible outcome. He discovered the reason for my blurry vision and referred me to the Moran Eye center at the University of Utah where I was able to have the surgery done on my eye. We are very happy to be patients at Summit Eye Care.
