Family Eyecare Specialists - Nampa

I had such a great experience with Family Eyecare Specialists! From start to finish, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. A special shoutout to Fe--she went above and beyond to help me get an earlier appointment that worked perfectly with my schedule, which I truly appreciated. Doctor Adams was thorough, professional, and made the entire eye exam easy and comfortable. You can really tell this office cares about their patients. I couldn't be happier with my visit and highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent eye care!

Very clean with an upscale professional feel. Everyone is knowledgeable and seems to enjoy their job. Dr. Farris has been a 10/10 experience for the last several years for my family and I. I have interacted with all three locations and have had the similar experiences.

I love Dr Adams. I'd give him 5 stars. The office is very clean and technically up to date. However, I only give 4 stars because cause of the wait times. They could use more opticians as it's a busy office. I always wait a long time to actually get my glasses ordered. I've tried to go in several times to get my glasses adjusted and there is no one available without a significant wait. After my appointment yesterday to just check something that was going on with one of my eyes, I asked if I could get my glasses cleaned and adjusted and they said no problem. I sat there for about a half an hour and still no one helped me so I just left. I will try to go back again in the next couple days and if not, I think I'm actually going to change practices. If only Dr.Adams had his own private practice!!

After wearing glasses and contacts for a few decades I can confidently say The Family Eyecare in Nampa is truly the best eye care I have ever received. Between the staff up front and the doctors, they really are the best. Thanks for being great team and keep up the awesome work.

Dr. Farris was wonderful. He took the time to make sure I had the right script for my eyes. Everyone in the office is pleasant and extremely helpful. The wait time when you arrive for your appt is not long at all. I like them so much ,I have moved my family to this office. They are wonderful!

Dr Harris and staff are very attentive. The only change that could be made is when you do get the new glasses, a quick walk-in time should be made with Dr Harris instead of "wear these for a week or two and come back if they dont work out". This would eliminate frustration and another appointment. Otherwise i find Dr Harris is great at explantions, suggestions for next step and a true caring attitude.

Arguably the most thorough eye examination I've had, ever. My first annual (medicare) vision checkup at Dr Belthoff's practice went smoothly, remarkably so. Be advised, this isn't a quickie pass-through or token eye-chart happening; allow yourself enough time for this team to do what they're pleased to do for you, carefully and methodically.

My son at 10 yrs old went in got his eyes checked and was given the wrong prescription. This caused lots of headaches problems seeing and frustration. We gave them a chance to correct it and they did it again same year weeks apart! We ended up going to Costco Optical for a new exam 3rd that year and new glasses. Fast forward to this year I thought a different doctor could do better and we went back to the office and got exams. The eye glass in office fulfillment was pushed on us and we tried it. They filled a script from 2 years ago and left my son unable to see the board, he has an upset tummy because the vision issues and can't see far away. They said they would "rush" his script, it's been almost a full week when I called they said they did rush the glasses but orders were high. ** Update 12/20/25 the office manager reached out and assured us the issue was investigated and tried to help ensure my son is covered with another set of glasses and as close to real time updates about where the new set was as she could offer. While it didn't fix the original issue they did their best with what they could control once the management was made aware of the situation.
