Can't say enough great things about Dr Martinez. We are so fortunate to have such an extremely professional person to operate on our eyes. His nursing staff were some of the most caring and calming people I've ever come across in the medical field. I am so pleased at the end results of my cataract surgery.

Dr Martinez and his wonderful staff did an amazing job with both of my eyes! Every time I was in his office or the surgery center they were so kind, professional and they listened to me with astute attention! Dr Martinez did incredible work and I am already able to see without wearing glasses! Both procedures were pain free in every way and couldn't have gone better. The Boise VA sent a referral to Dr. Martinez's office to address cataract and astigmatism issues in both eyes. The appointments and procedures were very successful, and I could not be happier with the results. From check-in to post-operation visits, the staff (Dr. Erik Ostler) were incredibly friendly and professional, and I felt safe that my care was their highest priority. My vision has returned to 20/20, and everything I see now has wonderfully vivid colors! I would highly recommend them for any ophthalmic care.

I am very frustrated and disappointed with their sleezy billing practices. I have vision insurance for basic eye exams and could have done that for free without any issues. However it has been sometime since an actual eye doctor has looked at my eyes. So I opted to come back to Dr Martinez office. Years back they did amazingly for me and my family. They informed me that my vision insurance was for optometrist and that my visit would not be covered. So I did know this going in. They then told me that the exam, and a prescription would cost me $95. That is alot for a quick 3 min exam, but for peace of mind to make sure all was still healthy, I said ok. They at NO time told me they actually intended on Billing $360. I already know my insurance won't cover this unless it was medically required for like surgery. I was told $95. They now claim that it was their good faith estimate. That is as sleezy as it comes. They knew full well in advance they were billing $360. They knew their "estimate" was false. After the exam, and after I came and went, they sent my exam to insurance anyway. Then sent me a balance bill for more money. I agreed for $95. There is no way I would have agreed to $360 for what honestly is nearly the exact same experience of exam for free at my optometrist office. We will not ever visit this office again. I cannot stand dishonesty in medical billing like this. Regardless, we will not hesitate to tell others if ever asked for where to go. This office will be mentioned as one NOT to go to. Be warned. Your $95 estimate is BS. You will be billed $360 +

I was very nervous about the cataract surgery on both eyes but there was no reason. Dr. Ostler did an excellent job both times and I couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome! He and his staff are kind, calming and patient. Simply an excellent experience.

Remarkable medical practice. Front office staff is knowledgeable and efficient. Medical support personnel are well trained and equally efficient. This was the third procedure successfully performed by Dr. Martinez. It went well and he, as usual, explained the situation and the objectives in plain english. Always a satisfying medical experience.

Dr. Martinez performed my cataract surgery and they turned out very well. Follow-up care was exceptional. He and his staff are excellent and I highly recommend them!
