Dr Welch is absolutely fantastic! He is an expertise in his field and is kind and caring. His entire staff is wonderful and my recent surgeries were the best medical experiences I have ever had. I have been to both the Burley and Twin Falls office and staff in both were wonderful. Dr Merrill was also very good when I went in for pressure checks. A big thanks to Dr Welch and his staff!!
Terrible terrible service. They overbook appointments and what should take an hour ends up taking up to 5 hours. Prepare to wait at least an hour in the waiting room then a other 30 in the room. Avoid this place at all costs.
Seven years later, currently in the waiting room with my mom. She JUST needs her pressure checked after cataract surgery. Waited 30 minutes. Waiting times here have not improved.
Dr. Merrell was terrible. He had no bedside manner of even trying to talk to you about your eyes or anything that was wrong. He just wanted to shine and magnifi the light in my eye told his lady numbers got mad I couldn't see his bloody ear through being blinded with light sensitivity. He then proceeded to all but run out of the room not sharing anything i didn't even know I had a different prescription until I forced one lady to stop and look. Wasn't offered new glasses, lenses anything just sent on my way. Make an appointment for a year peace out lady. I don't expect you to hold my damn hand but information and compassion go a long way dude work on that.
Went here for a second opinion. The staff were very nice and seemed interested in making sure I was taken care of. Met with Dr Allan who helped me with coming up with a plan. He was professional and seemed to really want to help me. I appreciated the customer service there.
I looked at other reviews before I came here. I saw that the biggest complaint was the wait time. From my experience they all did a great job.
Please, please!!!! Avoid going here at all cost. The staff is rude and very unprofessional. I took my mom here and they did some studies on her eye. We waited over a week and still didn't here back. She had been sent here to be seen immediately as her condition was an emergency. I finally called in and asked why it had taken so long without a call from them. The secretary said the Dr had told her that we could not be helped and that there was nothing he could do and that I could go elsewhere for an opinion. I was frustrated as this had been deemed a medical emergency and possibly time was counting against us. He or the staff didn't bother to give us a call and showed 0 empathy. He did not bother to go over the test results. They sure bothered sending the invoice as I received that a few days later. Please dont waste your time or money here. Thankfully I found another Dr in Twin that has helped us through this.
This office has TERRIBLE costumer service. We waited 45 minutes for a 5 minute appointment. The doctors do not ask if their student shadowers may watch in on the appointment. It would be nice if they would at least ask! Also, the doctors seem to rush patients in and rush them out, hardly listening to patients questions or concerns. Their overly nice, fake attitudes make me feel that they are being more condensing, than anything else. I'm only a family member going in with the patient and have went with several times. It always seems to be the same way everytime. Thank goodness Twin Falls has other options for eye doctors.
Doctors and staff are kind... But seriously over an hour wait, an hour and forty-five minutes to be exact, to be seen is a little ridiculous. I understand getting behind 15-20 minutes but if you know you are going to take that long warn your patients when they check in so they can decide if they want to wait or reschedule. The appointment was for my grandma, I'm not an actual client and never will be, she advised it is like this every time. Unacceptable.
My mother had an appointment at 345. It's now 448 and she has yet to be seen. Since we've been here I've heard one of the receptionists making Snyder remarks about a caller on the phone and another one arguing with a patient who has questions about a bill she's received. I was warned by a coworker that they are unorganized amd over book but i figured that might have been a bad day. My experience amd these reviews show me that this is the norm. We'll be looking for a different optometrist.
