Intermountain Eye: Dr. Jeffrey L. Stevens MD

I really liked Dr Stevens very much! I believe it was called a vitrectomy that he performed on my eye. It's so wonderful to no longer see through a fog! My ability to drive at night has been restored. I know I've been told that I couldn't feel the gel causing the issue in my eye, but I sure could, one of the first things I noticed after surgery was that feeling was gone and I'm so grateful. Dr Stevens is a very nice and very personable Doctor. A very nice guy too! I am confident saying you won't be sorry if he's the doctor you choose.

Dr. Stevens repaired a torn retina using a bubble of gas and a laser. It's amazing what modern technology can do, and Dr. Stevens was very good at the procedure. The process involved many visits to the office where the doctor and staff were very attentive to my needs. After a couple months, the vision in the affected eye is almost fully restored. I'm very happy with the service and results from Dr. Stevens, looking forward to a follow up visit in a few months.

A while back I started to have some vision difficulty with my right eye, (distortion & depth perception). Thinking it was probably a cataract problem I was referred to Dr.Welch. Upon his examination it was determined that a hole had developed in the retina. Dr.Welch then referred me to one of his associates, Dr. Stevens. Upon Dr. Stevens examination the hole was confirmed and surgery was scheduled for two days later. Post surgery, Dr. Stevens informed me the surgery went well but because of the size of the repair and the length of time the damage had been there, only time would tell how successful the repair would be. Before the surgery I estimated the vision in my right eye to be about 30 Percent. Post surgery, (30 days later) my vision is about 90 percent with continued improvement every week. I've had nothing but a very positive experience from pre surgery to post surgery. Dr. Stevens, Dr. Welch and all of their staff were very professional, knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend their services.

I give Dr Stevens my highest recommendation. Last year, I went to him due to a torn retina. He repaired the tear with a laser treatment and then recently performed a procedure to clean-up the residue of the tear that was clouding my vision. Both procedures were pain free during and afterwards. I am extremely pleased with the results. He was very patient answering my questions and explained them in simple terms so I could understand them. So glad we have him here in Twin Falls!

I had cataract surgery about 6 mos. ago with Dr allan after that we dicussed removeing a very large floater from my right eye. I was very anxious about both proceedures to say least but Dr Allen did a great job of explaining the proceedure and it went very smooth with little or no pain. Again I was also very anxious about that proceedure to remove the floater in my right eye and Dr. stevens suggested we wait 6 mos. so I could think about it. After 6 mos. I had a checkup on the cataract surgery and I told Dr. Allan about my concerns. Again He did a great job of explaining the proceedure even though Dr.Stevens would be doing it. That same week I saw Dr. Stevens and after more question I said lets do it. He asked when would you like to do it. I said how about tomorrow? So we scheduled it for 9:00am the next day. before I left the office he suggest Laser treatment on my left eye for post op something or other, after about 5 min that was done and I went home. On the way home I marveled at how clear my left eye was now. Next a.m. I'm at the surgery center with more questions, like what if my body rejects the fluid you put to replace the existing fluid in my eye? Answere, a simple salene will be put in and the eye will replace it in time (don't remember the time he said) How long will this proceedure take? Answere, About 5 min. The next day after the anesthesia and nerve block wore off, again, I was amazed at how clear my vison was. I'm in my 80s and my vision ( both eyes) has not been this clear in 45 years. Now two weeks later I am ecstatic. My vision is wonderfull and there was no pain. I would suggest that if doing cataract surgery dont go from near sighted to far sighted as I did. Before I wore glasses all the time with progressive bifocals. and if I had much reading to do I simply took my galsses off. Now, I'm hunting for reading glasses all the time. My opinion... If you are considering cataract surgery and or getting rid of your floaters Dr. Allen and Dr stevens are both first class. I would recomend them to anyone. Also, Their staff is friendly. helpfull and just over all very nice folks. And No I was not paid to say any of this and would be happy to talk to any of you reading this. Dr. Stevens is the best eye doctor and surgeon I have ever experienced. He explained the procedures and addressed any and all concerns I had. I would highly recommend him to everyone.

I had a Vitrectony on March 31st by Dr Stevens. I was so delighted that it was so easy, with very little discomfort and with excellent results. Everything was just as Dr Stevens said it would be. I am so pleased with my vision now.
