America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I had a great experience trying out America's Best for the first time. All of the staff were working very hard to take care of everyone and with how busy they were, I was amazed at the efficiency and thoroughness! Dr. Lydon helped me understand things that I never had explained to me regarding my prescription changing for my eyes and the associate Iggy who helped me finish out my appointment was so polite and patient!! She even helped figure out my insurance being troublesome. Thank you!!

I remember how about a year ago when I walked into American Best (Prospect, Champaign), and no one greeted me or asked how they could help. Everyone just grimaced and snorted! I left without regret and ordered glasses online. And then, this year, I was greeted in a completely different way! Lexy (the manager) immediately surrounded me with friendly attention. She helped me choose frames. Anyone who wears glasses knows how difficult it is to find the right frames. She was patient, kind, and had a charming smile! That's what it means to be a great professional and a wonderful person. She helped me with everything I needed to order glasses. It was a pleasure to deal with a store like this. Today was my first visit and I am super happy! My eye doctor was extremely thorough and explained everything to me. She was very friendly and so smart, I really like her! Iggy helped me choose my frames and lenses and she was wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and super nice. She helped me get the perfect glasses! I am so glad I left all about eyes to come here.

I had an amazing experience here everyone was nice and very helpful especially Iggy. She was full of light and very sweet. She was really open to answering any of my questions and helped me understand my insurance benefits more. I will most definitely be back!

Originally I left a good review due to how good the exam process went, although some workers were on their personal phone. When getting my glasses the first time the lenses transition coat was messed up so I had to wait another 2 weeks for my replacement (a month total). My glasses now look fine, but since the 2nd pair came in they dont get nearly as dark. They are supposed to transition in a vehicle(and it doesnt), and doesnt do that good job in direct sunlight. I'd recommended getting the eye exam and getting glasses else where.

Called to complain about my son's glasses case zipper not working. Sabrina, the store manager, was rude and with an attitude wanted me to drive two hours round trip from Decatur to turn in the glasses case with bad zipper. She refused to make things easy and send me one. Will never go back there again.

Updated, I purchased glasses from America's Best about a year ago, and recently one of the lenses came loose despite light use. At first, I was told it was due to an improper fit from the start, which was frustrating to hear. The regional manager later followed up and offered me a replacement with an upgrade. I appreciate the professional response and resolution.

Favorite part was my initial pre screen lady ..forgot to get her name...love joking...the experience of finding frames was super fun. I've worn glasses and been to specialist since I was two and could actually see. The ladies .. Especially Lexy ... And the other two ladies...who helped me find frames to hold my thick lenses. Wish I would have gotten their names...cuz I felt we had fun. Thank you for the experience. As a special needs mom... going to the DR is a social event for me kudos for tolerating my goofy.
