I've been going here since I moved to Champaign 5 years ago. I had walked in off the street because my glasses nose piece was broken. They immediately fixed them at no charge. So I started going for my yearly exam and eye wear. Always a pleasure. The Dr is so thorough and knowledgeable. And its always a pleasure working with Diane to find the best glasses, her expertise in finding the best fit and look for me is much appreciated. They have the best selection of frames.

I walked out after my appointment feeling so relaxed and happy. I felt so cared for while I was there! I was greeted with such a warm welcome! From filling out the new patient paperwork to placing my order for glasses I was NEVER rushed. I'm excited for new glasses, but even more excited to see the wonderful staff when I go back! This is how people should feel everywhere they go.

I have received courteous, professional eye care from Dr. Heckman and the C-U Eyecare staff for many years. One time, when I was waffling as to which of two pairs of glasses looked best, the front staff took the time to give their thoughts on the attractiveness of each, and they both picked the one I wouldn't have chosen. I'm so glad I went with their gut! Compliments on my glasses still keep coming 1-1/2 years later.

This place is very good, the best optometrist office I've been to. Dr. Heckman explains everything she is doing without condescension, and genuinely listens to a patient's questions and concerns. I never felt, as one so often does at doctors' offices, rushed in and out so that she could get on to the next customer. Equally impressive are staff members who handle the scheduling, lens fitting, insurance, and office managing. They are incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about their industry. This is extremely rare in today's employment culture.

I had called and spoken with Dianne about wanting to get an estimate on what a pair of glasses might cost me so i could budget. I gave her all of my insurance info and what kind of glasses i would need along with an eye exam. I have not received a call back to this day. I don't think they are that busy where you couldn't give a potential customer a call back. I done the same thing at another eye clinic and they were kind enough to give that to me while on the phone, step by step. I think i will go to that clinic to give them my business because this business does not value good customer service.

I have dealt with Dr Sara Meyer for years, even before she was at CU Eyecare. Never, never been disappointed. I was having trouble with my new glasses recently. I was able to walk-in and they got me in to see her within the hour! The only thing I could recommend is maybe a larger frame selection.

I went to CU eyecare because my regular eye doctor was closed during the pandemic. However, I have had 3 appointments here so far and I still do not have contacts. The reason for this is because at my first fitting, they only ordered 2 out of the 3 brands they were supposed to order. The 2 that I got to try did not fit well, so I went back for another fitting. We found a brand that I really liked, so they told me they would order them and we could reconvene in 1-2 weeks. It has been 2 weeks so I decided to call. Turns out, they not only FORGOT to order the contacts, but they also messed up the charges for my appointments. I wish I had just waited it out and gone to my regular doctor, because they have never done anything like this.

My experience was excellent professional care. There staff did not rush me when picking out frames. They allowed me to go to the bathroom to take off my mask and to see what I looked like with the frames I picked out. It has been 6 years since I had new frames
