Darien Eye Specialists

We (myself, wife, and two children) have been a patient at Darien Eye Socialists for nearly three-decades and we never had a negative experience. We love this place. I retired in 2022 and after a gap of nearly 4 years, I went back to this place today (10/02/2025) and had a very pleasant visit. The front desk staff (Kate, I think this is her name) is very professional and courteous. Dr. Varghees is very thorough, kind, and provided her full attention. She took her time with the check-up and explained everything clearly. She is not only knowledgeable but also a great listener. I felt that I was very well cared for. In my opinion, Dr. Varghese is an exceptional eye doctor. I felt valued as a patient and am very grateful for her service. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a dedicated and caring eye specialist.

I have been a patient here for three years, and I've never had a single negative experience with either the clinic or the doctor. The front desk lady is always wonderful, and the doctor is equally amazing. Today, they managed to fit me in at the last minute, which really shows how much they care about their patients rather than just focusing on money. The doctor was incredibly communicative and knowledgeable. She not only asked me thoughtful questions about my vision, but she also took the time to answer all of my concerns thoroughly and made sure I understood her responses well. Staff is very kind and professional. Dr. Varghese is great. She is very professional and thorough. Darien eye specialist makes you feel welcome when you walk thru the doors and they take good care of you while you are there.

She was able to make an emergency appointment for me at Rush where a tear was confirmed and treated the same day. I'm very grateful that she was so thorough and assisted me with a sense of urgency. The office was very efficient on the day of my visit and did not wait long to see the eye doctor. She is very personable and a joy to speak with. The more honest you are about your vision the better results you'll get.

Dr. Shinu Varghese and her staff are very professional, courteous and friendly. The equipments are modern and they take the time explain the tests they are doing. Wonderful experience and great place to have the eye exam.
