Bard Optical - Decatur

The only problem I have is the glasses become very scratched within months of getting them, following their guide line of cleaning. They are very friendly , courteous and helpful.

The Doctor did a comprehensive exam and went through all my medications and we talked about which ones could affect my eyes. The prices were amazing. All staff were friendly

Most unprofessional office i have ever dealt with. Doctor retired but I was not notified about a cancelation or rescheduling. Was never told until I called them.. not how you are supposed to treat people

1stly, a person that came in after me, I had an appt, was taken before me. That should have been my sign. Waited like 25mins. Then when said girl was done I got called. 1st girl acted like she rather be anywhere else. After the tests were done I went to the main dr. The exam went somewhat strangley. When I was asked 1, or 2, the lens was shut. A dr isn't aware of that? Mind on something else? Then she was on laptop, typing away. Asked, which I found unnecessary and rude, if I would be buying glasses with them. I was not. I feel I w as them given wrong results for when I decided later to order from, and when I got glasses, which is a whole other story in customer service. The new glasses gsve me headaches. I can't wear. Time wasted. Will mvr go bsck snd will suggest others don't either. There are many other places in town. I wear my old glasses. New 1s just set unused

**Edited to update *** After wearing my new glasses for a week, I experienced nausea and eye strain daily. I started to see spots in my right eye and I still am. I've had to wear glasses for over 30 years, so I know, this isn't normal. The office will only refund me for the frames, after their district manager looks them over. There's obviously something wrong with the lenses and now I'm out hundreds. Never again and I can no longer recommend. -Got me in for an exam fast. It was easy to pick out a pair of glasses and sunglasses with the nice selection. I would highly recommend Bard!

Took my daughter (12) for an exam and new glasses. Everything went great. We made an appointment, so there wasn't a notable wait time. Staff was super great and my daughter loves her glasses. The exam procedures went smoothly and she felt very comfortable the whole time. I was as excited as she was to pick up her new glasses 2 days later. Lol. She noticed an immediate improvement when she put them on. Thank y'all so much! We'll see y'all next time!!

I was a pain in the butt and they were incredibly patient and kind. It's only the second time in my life I've been to the eye doctor! This visit was nothing like my first. I was enlightened After several tests I was sent to a room with another patient employee who gave me a class on contacts. She's an expert teacher! Thanks to all. You guys are great!

Went for exams for myself and my 5 year old son. Between the two of us, we were there almost 3 hours. They fit me with a set of one-month contacts, and I ordered a supply of contacts. Nearly 4 weeks later, after calling twice to check on them, I finally got a call that my contacts were ready. That day when I picked them up, I was informed that I had a balance of almost $300, even though insurance should have covered most of it. I questioned it, and was told they would contact the district office and figure it out. Apparently they hadn't run it through insurance yet (4 weeks after the appointment) and when they did, I had a minimal balance. I went in to pay it and thought I was done. They called the next day and said we still had a balance on my son's appointment! I questioned it (again, insurance should have paid it) and they said they would look into it. Today, another month later, I got a bill for that balance on my son. I called to ask about it again, and after contacting the district office, again, they found out that it also hadn't been run through the insurance. Again. We didn't owe anything. Nikki was the person who contacted the district office both times, and both times she had the problem figured out within just a few minutes! She seems to be the only one there who is capable of resolving the issues, or willing to actually help. She was great! We won't be back.
