Marion Eye Center

This place is a joke. A doctor put in my child on can only be seen only on walk-in basis years ago might I add when we lived an hour in a half away so I missed two appointments YEARS AGO And I bet that doctor isn't even there anymore because they can't keep doctors. Now that I'm in the area I can't be seen. Then they can't see family members on the same day, for what? they have the most bs rules I've even heard of and lack empathy which is horrible for any medical professional practice thumbs down for who ever runs this.

This past weekend, while visiting the area, I forgot my contact lenses six hours away. In a panic, I reached out to Marion Eye Center for help. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The staff was unhelpful and outright refused to assist me simply because I wasn't a regular customer. It was both disappointing and frustrating, especially after I explained my situation. Thankfully, another eye clinic stepped up and offered assistance without hesitation. Compassion goes a long way, and I can't recommend a business that would leave someone nearly blind for an entire weekend due to rigid policies. I would advise others to look elsewhere for more understanding and caring service.

They lied to me an said they ordered my trial pair of contacts knowing I had nothing to wear due me not being able to pay the entire of my balance now mind you they my insurance pays 80% of the bill and I paid 22 dollars I didn't actually have to spare. I get paid today and would have been able to pay the balance even before the trial pair got here but they lied and said they made a mistake and didn't order them and said they would today well I called Carbondale Marion eye center and they said the the DuQuoin location had a hold on even ordering the trial pair till they get there 60 bucks. Pathetic and sad if they would have been honest I would be ok but they lied now I'll pay but I now will have to go another week even to get the trial pair cause they lied

Women at the front desk were not welcoming or friendly at the location. It took almost an extra hour for me to be seen. I had appointments for certain times. I would understand up to 15minutes but anything afterwards is unacceptable. This happened on multiple occasions. When calling the Du Quoin location they always put you on hold. I have called many different times during the day. Not only this but they always have a negative attitude. I will never comeback after many years. The one in Marion are far better and very helpful They are also nice to their patients. I hear many of the other locals say the same thing.

Absolutely love Marion Eye Center. They have taken amazing care of me with my complicated retina issues. I recently got new glasses, had a great appointment, the glasses fit perfect, just the frames I wanted and best of all I can see! The staff is great and they are less than 2 miles from my house.

Lady broke my glasses trying to straighten them and snapped them in half and all the best they could do was tape them with Scotch tape. I asked if they would replace them and they said no your insurance won't and neither will Marion. Very unprofessional all I came in for was to get my Dwaine syndrome fixed and got told had to pay for a prism I was informed was covered and was now not and to have my frames adjusted left in happy and with broken frames. Absolutely love Jill and Kiley! They're so kind to my son and genuinely care about their clients. All the staff are friendly and professional. We love having them as our provider.

My visit to marion eye center in Pinckneyville was a good experience. I was treated in a very professional and kind manner. I received a thorough examination and diagnosis. My treatment was done well. I will return as needed.
