Family Eye Care

I love this practice! I found it the first year I had vision insurance. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. They look for the best options for you and don't necessarily push the most expensive ones. My husband went here too. He and Jan developed an "inside joke " that they used every visit. When I told her he had passed away she was truly saddened. On my last visit last month I informed them that I was moving out of state. They felt so sincere in their disappointment that I would no longer be a patient I am honestly considering just coming back every year for my exam! They are like family!

Everyone at this office is excellent, from the front desk staff to the doctor. They're all so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. I stopped in to order my contacts and glasses and even though they were very busy, they still took their time to help me and were beyond kind. I really appreciate the great service every time I visit!

My 4 year old failed the state vision test earlier in the year and we were told to get him checked by a doctor. I called every eye doctor that took our insurance but no one wanted to take on a pediatric patient who didn't know their letters and numbers yet. Completely destroyed and defeated I called family eye care expecting the same outcome but to my surprise they accepted our insurance and his case without hesitation! They got us in within a couple days of seeking them out and our experience was nothing but amazing! The doctor and her staff were all very professional and treated my young child like he mattered and just overall amazing! After following her orders we came back again a few months later and my son didn't have improvement so he got glasses. The staff up front showed me exactly where to look, gave suggestions and were very helpful and supportive of all additional financial add ons and even gave advice on recommendations. Only thing is that I wish I didn't have to wait so long to get his glasses, but we overall are pleased and plan on transferring our whole family from America's Best to Family Eye Care!!

Literally the best Doctor experience I have ever had with my son. My son is 5 and is not a fan of any doctor's office. I warned them ahead of time and Dr. Alexander and the other woman who was assisting in the visit were so nice and really sat and explained everything and worked with him through the whole appointment. You could not even sense any frustration or annoyance coming from either of them. They were so kind and loving. He had a great experience and even told his grandmother all about it afterwards. We will for sure be back next year and taking all of our kids there.

I have been going to Family Eye Care for several years, and my family and I have bought our glasses there. The last time, however, the service was not very pleasant. I only wanted to replace the lenses in my glasses since the frame was practically new. The whole time they kept emphasizing that if the frame broke, they would not take responsibility. Understanding the store's policies, I agreed to have the lenses changed. When I went to pick them up, they had made them wrong! They gave me distance lenses when I had made it clear I needed them for reading. I asked what would happen if the frame broke now that the mistake was theirs, and they told me, "We're not responsible, those are our policies." Great! They make the mistake and still don't take responsibility. They sent them back again, and while I could see--not too badly--I still couldn't see clearly as I should. But in order to preserve the frame, I took them anyway. When I used them at home, I realized they weren't made of the same material I had before. I could see reflections around the frame, and I still couldn't see clearly. In the end, I paid for glasses I can't even use. Needless to say, it will be the last time I go there.

Great experience from the reception to the opticians to the techs, and of course, Dr. Alexander. I always get a very thorough exam. She really cares about her patients. I trust her to provide the highest level of care.
