Bhagvanji Meghpara, D.O.

I am v impressed personally with Dr. Meghpara. Besides a fantastic Ophthalmologist Surgeon, he is a great human being, cares for his patients and v thorough in his diagnosis, prognosis and advice. He is a busy doctor for a reason. I travelled an hour to get my Cataract surgery and I am pleased with results. His follow up is far generous with his time and always indebted to his prompt response. Thank you Dr. Meghpara for being there for me and my family.

My mother was referred to Bhagvanji Meghpara, D.O. and he was not only rude and dismissive, but he refused to answer her questions about the testing he said was required every 4 months, for a condition or treatment that he himself was unsure of and unable to diagnose. She asked what were the tests, what he would be testing for, and how long she would need to be on the 4 month testing cycle. He did not want to answer and said that ALL of his patients are required to see him every 4 months, and that she must not be a fit for him since she had so many questions and didn't trust his expertise. Quite frankly, he provided no insight or information, so I'm not sure what expertise was supposed to be trusted. After the exchange, he verbally rushed her out of his office, said that he refuses to send the results to the referring doctor, and did not provide the glasses that are given to protect the eyes after having them dialated. I suspect this was intentional. It sounds like he prefers patients that don't ask questions about their treatments or concerns simply so that he can collect an insurance check without actually treating them or using his "expertise" to help people. Find another opthalmologist if you can.

Dr. Meghpara is a wonderful and caring doctor with a great bedside manner. I live in Indiana and there are a lot of ophthalmologists here but I drive to Hazelcrest just to see him.

This Dr is A Miracle Worker, Very Caring, Detailed and Very Best Bedside Care at Putting My Nerves and Anxiety at Peace. I Truly Thank God for His COMPLETE CARE to Me and My Family. We are FOREVER GRATEFUL

My Mother was a patient at this clinic, I'm disappointed in the way this doctor spoke to my mother especially after knowing he works for advocate healthcare were I worked for 17 years. Being a administrator it really bothers me when these doctors have no real concern or bedside manors when it come to there patients, my mother went to this office she had missed a couple of appointments due to a lot of health issues one being 2 heart attacks and a heart procedure when my mother tried to explain what happened to him and why she missed her appointment he was rude and told her he did not want patients like that as told her to go someplace else. now I have been in this field a long time I don't think you put your eyes in front of your heart I'm sorry, then he went on to tell her that she was getting refills illegally I'm talking eye drops and his name is the only name on the bottles he is the one that kept refilling them I assume due to Covid and no one was in his office for months, my mother is disabled and in a wheel chair who talks there patients this way. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I will be reporting him to the board at advocate this behavior is unacceptable.

He is caring . Will make time for you in an emergency. Answers questions that puts your mind at easej.

The staff was friendly and professional. I came in without appointment, and they still took me in fast. Dr. Meghpara is extremely wonderful. He answered all my questions and concerns.

2 to 3 hours waiting time every time for appointment is disrespectful, ridiculous and rude.
