I came to Lake Zurich Eyecare after repeatedly getting exams with outside doctors that could not give me any information about the health of my eyes. This place is a breath of fresh air in comparison! The entire staff is super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Pouyat is always punctual and always takes time to explain the information he gains from imaging and vision exams. When I have concerns about my vision, he helps me problem solve. I can't imagine ever going anywhere else for my vision care!

I went here for an eye exam yesterday. The exam was very short and did not seem particularly thorough. At checkout I asked for a copy of my prescription which they gave me.
When I got home I realized the script didn't include my PD measurement which is needed to buy glasses. Today I called and asked about it and was told that that is not included in the exam and I'd have to come back in and pay 50 bucks to get the measurement.
There was no warning about this extra charge up front. Even when I asked for my prescription, nobody bothered to mention that what they were giving me was not enough to actually purchase eyeglasses.
This place is an unprofessional scam house and I highly recommend you find another practice to give your business.

Dr. Pouyat and his staff are always friendly and very helpful at appointments. I've been seeing him for 24 years now and bring my own family to his practice. Cannot recommend them more, friendly and inviting. Scheduling is always fast and easy, contacts and glasses options/ordering is never an issue. 5 stars all around.
