DuPage Ophthalmology

My experience at DuPage Ophthalmology was excellent. I had originally scheduled with another doctor. The day of the appt, they called and offered me an appt with Dr Lam because the other doctor was behind and the wait time was very long. I accepted the new appt, not having been to the office, and not having a preference. Dr. Lam was really great. His experience and bedside manner made a nervous patient completely at ease. I truly appreciate the care I received from Dr Lam and the staff. I would highly recommend this office for your eye care needs.

First time to see Dr. Guyton (very familiar and happy with the practice). He diagnosed my retina issue and instantly referred me to a retina specialist for emergency treatment. His attention to the urgency of the situation was amazing and highly appreciated. 24 hours later I can see to write this review with both eyes working perfectly! Thanks, Dr. Guyton!

A superb practice with the brightest specialists in the Chicagoland area. They are as kind as they are competent. These are brilliant physicians with excellent bedside manner. The staff went above and beyond to get my father in promptly when he was having an emergency. I cannot recommend enough!

I have been going to DuPage Ophthalmology for many years (including cataract surgery) and have always had a positive experience. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and kind. Love Dr's. Gupta and Lam. Yesterday I had an issue and I was able to get a same day appointment with Dr. Guyton. He was a pleasure and is a great addition to the team.

Whenever I visit DuPage Opthalmology, they are punctual and will bring you back to a room, even if you are early. I appreciate Dr. Lam's thoroughness and care. He performed my 2 cataract surgeries in 2025 and I was completely satisfied with my recovery. Their technicians are equally thorough, kind and considerate.

The doctor is fine but the billing department is so rude. Per their website "Do you offer financial assistance? Our financial screening policy to request discounts, delayed payment plans or forgiveness of debt is based on the individual's ability to pay. To provide this service, we must obtain certain financial information, which will remain confidential according to our privacy policy." I am disabled and was kicked off medicaid due to the big beautiful bill so my mother has had to help me so that I'm not overrun with medical bills but unfortunately she passed away a few weeks ago and I left all that info in a voicemail and they call me back and she's just rude from the very beginning of the call. I ask if there is any way to lower the bill and she told me to do a payment plan when right on their website they say they offer forgiveness. I've never ever asked for a debt to be lowered but this is the 1 time in my life where I literally can't even afford food money and I have no clue how to pay for my own mother's cremation and I'm about to be homeless and then I have to deal with rude billing lady who didn't even try to see about lowering my bill(i understand if I don't meet their criteria but she could have at least tried). Such a lack of humanity these days smh Not going back

I saw Dr. Cliff Guyton at the Lombard location. He took his time with me, answered all my questions, and gave me a detailed explanation about the prescriptive eye drops. Also, the ophthalmologic tech (Rachel?) was friendly and professional.

First time seeing Dr Cliff Guyton. Short wait time. ( less than 10 minutes) He listened to my "eye situation" and immediately presented some treatments I could start on my own. Very polite and professional mannerism.
