i've been coming here since i moved to rockford, i've waited 30 minutes to be seen before and never complained but today i was 10 minutes late bc of another appointment, i called before and told them i was on my way and that i was going to be late and they said it was fine within 10 minutes. then i get there at 1:09 because i checked when i walked in and they said they couldn't see me. it's empty in there and they said they couldn't do it. honestly go to machesney they are nicer, easier to work with don't go here.

Doctor is great. Most of the staff is great. I was given incorrect information when ordering contacts about the amount that I would receive in a rebate when ordering for a year. They told me $250, but it was $100. Also, when I called to try to get my receipt, the guy on the phone said I had to come in and get it (I live an hour away). I spent 30 seconds making an account on their website and found my receipt online right away, so that encounter left a bad taste in my mouth. Been coming here for over 15 years, but I am going to look elsewhere in the future.

Do not recommend. I requested 3 times trials for the brand I currently wear and each time they only ordered the in house brand. It took the third time before someone told me they aren't "allowed" to order the name brand because they push the in house brand. This is all after being argued with that my pre-authorize and approved vision insurance didn't work and I would have to pay out of pocket which was also not true and was an operator error. Go somewhere else and avoid the unnecessary stress.

Customer beware of this location. They use a doctor from a unknown location that is done over a computer. I was only made aware of this after arriving to my appointment. Then expect you to sign a waiver for this process.

Horrible location, had a remote doctor deny me a contact prescription because a slight redness in my eye from removing my contacts before the exam and still wanted to bill my insurance for the exam, staff worked it out but was an epic waste of time and really made things uncomfortable. I bought the 3 year free exam membership 2 yrs ago and this is my final year for free exam I'm just going to pay for it and go somewhere else. This is a pic of the "concerning redness"

Always a joy. All of our exams and glasses needs have been met here for years. The ladies are friendly even when I am grumpy. The doctor does a great job working with our children and out needs. Contact amd eyeglass exam are the best value we have found in the area.

My husband and I recently purchased glasses with upgraded features, including polarized transition lenses and a wider viewing area. Unfortunately, both pairs have caused serious problems. Immediately upon receiving his new glasses, my husband could not read the dashboard in our car and returned to the store within minutes. I experienced distorted vision, headaches, and difficulty reading anything on street signs beyond the largest, boldest print. We returned and had mine adjusted, but issues remained. Concerned, we visited other optical providers and had the lenses checked. The prescriptions in the lenses were confirmed to be the same, but one lens had been made incorrectly. It became clear that the glasses were not made properly--despite us providing accurate prescriptions from an ophthalmologist. We were also told that some optical shops frequently make prescription lenses incorrectly or misinterpret ophthalmologist prescriptions, especially in cases involving astigmatism and optic nerve damage. Additionally, the importance of frame size was overlooked, which matters significantly when precise visual alignment is necessary. This has not only been inconvenient but potentially harmful to our vision. We paid for quality lenses and deserve properly manufactured eyewear. We urge better quality control and staff education regarding ophthalmologist-issued prescriptions.

I waited a MONTH for my appt. ( It was cheaper to get a contact exam), and the day before my exam( after I confirmed and filled out paperwork) they called to cancel because they only did digital exams, and wouldn't do one for a new patient. This is 2 weeks before I leave for a beach vacation needing contacts. They could have told me a month prior that they may not have a Dr, and would not see new patients. I had called many other eye places a month prior to either the cost over $200 just for an exam, or lack of dr. I found it extremely unprofessional to cancel me. Now, my daughter had an appt at the same time, but would see her because she'd been there before. So now I get to go to the ocean, with no prescription sunglasses or contacts. Would not recommend.
