Malik Eye Institute

I have witnessed firsthand the care that Dr. Malik and his office staff have provided to their patients. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Malik is one of the most genuine physicians I have ever met! Many of his patients rave about how much better their vision is after cataract surgery. They are also extremely happy with how fast and how well they heal after surgery. Dr. Malik is very efficient and sees his patients in a timely manner. I would highly recommend visiting the Malik Eye Institute to any of my loved ones!

Dr. Malik and his staff are amazing! I love seeing Sarah S. for all of my prep work, she makes me feel so comfortable & Dr. Malik is incredible and is always on top of his game! He knows everything and anything about eye balls! I highly recommend going to them for all your eye needs.

Dr Malik and his partner, Dr Rahman, combine both excellence in their clinical practice with friendly and compassionate bedside manner. Their team combines sub-specialists in several different branches of ophthamology, allowing for greater access and continuity of care within their practice. Their staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I have only heard great things about their surgical results as well. Should I ever need ophthalmic surgery in Rockford I would choose Malik Eye Institute.

I would highly recommend Dr. Malik to any of my family and friends. The staff was very kind and he is very caring to my problems. Many of my family members have had great results after Dr. Malik preforming cataract surgery on them. #1 ophthalmologist in Rockford!

Looks like many of the reviews are written by the doctors themselves....two Maliks, then unidentified "Google Users". Makes you not trust them. I think the doctors are competent, but like every company, it is about more than just the doctors. Billing is horrific. I got a bill, it needed to go through my insurance yet, so I paid $100 toward the bill, and the next notice I got was that it had been turned over to collection! What a way to alienate people who are otherwise satisfied with your company. You ruin my credit, I won't be back!

I do agree with Dee Santorini's post that the five stars are written by doctors. I have called into Dr. Malix's clinic and have yet to get a response upon leaving a message. As a retired disabled health care professional of 42 years, I have seen many incompetent surgeons. My last surgery should have gone well. endoscopy carpal tunnel. It did't go well at all. I had open carpal release at the Mayo clinic in 1976.and went well. In June of 2011, I contacted Lyme Disease. I was so sick, a friend of mine had to drive me to the Whiteside Medical Clinic in Rock Falls, Illinois. The nurse practitioner prescribed Paxil instead of Doxycycline antibiotic, the first line of defense. The NP said I should be hospitalized, but gave me the script for Paxil to help ease my passing. My friend heard her say this and I still have the perception for Paxil. My friend took me home then for 28 days, I couldn't sleep or eat. I did live though this, but most of my joints were infected with moderate to severe arthritis. Later, I ran into other patients this NP had abused. We went to the administrator of the clinic with our stories resulting in the NP's termination.

Not happy, doctor didn't seem to know how to handle my problem, had to pay for exam, which was a joke, now two months later I have to get new glasses because scrip was not right and of course insurance won't pay again

My grandmother had deteriorating vision from cataracts that went undiagnosed for a long time. However after seeing Dr.Malik she underwent cataract surgery and was able to see much better. Therefore I would recommend Dr.Malik to anyone facing the same problems.
