Indiana Eye Clinic

We were told, by the eye clinic, that our insurance would only cover our exams if my wife and daughter had their eyes dilated. We asked them not to because both of them had to drive to work after the exam. Anthem provides, under our policy, a single eye exam every year. We allowed them to be dilated so we would be covered. We were billed for both exams and Anthem said they would not pick it up because of the way the procedure was coded. After going back and forth with both the office and Anthem (Anthem rep even called them) I was told they could not code it any other way and we were stuck with the bill. The Anthem rep said they are using a code only available in Ohio? Then, I asked that they at least remove the cost of dilation since we asked specifically not to be dilated. They sent us to collections instead. We will NEVER go back there again.
