Dr. Latona is a superb physician! However, the merging of the Community East Office with the IU Office has caused some hiccoughs so far as service is concerned. We didn't find out about the office change until the reminder call for the visit. We nearly dismissed the robocall from 'Clearview Eye Care,' not recognizing it as being Dr. Latona's office, given that we expected to hear from "Community Eye Care of Indiana, Inc." We arrived at the office at 8:15 a.m. for an 8:30 a.m. appointment. Traditionally there had been long waits to be seen at the Community East Office, but not like today! By 10:00 a.m. we were STILL waiting and that's when I decided that waiting for that long was just unacceptable. I very politely let the receptionist know that we were leaving. Subjecting patients to such a long wait should not be standard operating procedure for a medical practice. Yes, there can be extenuating circumstances. But in that case, reception staff should advise patients about the wait up front, so that they can make other arrangments if need be. And when a patient who has been waiting for over an hour, staff should be able to let the patient know where they are in the queue with a good estimate of the remaining wait. Staff weren't able to help much in that regard. One said that they 'were working as fast as they can,' and another said 'just a few minutes' that was much more than that. Dr. Latona is an exceptional physician and probably worth waiting on, but for some patients on certain days waiting for nearly 2 hours just doesn't work out.

My girlfriend has an immensely increased quality of life after both of her cataract surgeries and is overall happier. We have absolutely no complaints, Dr. Latona did an outstanding job.

I would like to start by saying Dr. LaTona is a very nice person! A YAG laser treatment by him for a very big floater turned into a very large number of big floaters. Enough floaters to dramatically obscure my vision. After many months, the floaters were still there and I got a vitrectomy from a different specialist. To be fair, Dr. LaTona did a good job on my cataract surgeries, but I feel compelled to share my YAG laser experience.

I Love Dr. Latona he gives great care and advice he goes above and beyond. Helped me a lot even when I was diagnosed with Lupus. Found out I was on the wrong meds. Thx Dr. Latona
