I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable experience I had at your LensCrafters location last night.
I arrived at the store at approximately 6:40 PM, after receiving a text notification that my glasses were ready for pickup. Upon arrival, all of the lights in the store were turned off, despite the store still being open for another 20 minutes. I walked up to the door and saw a male employee with braids inside. I motioned to my watch to indicate that I was within the posted business hours. He opened the door, then walked away without saying anything.
When he returned, I explained that I was there to pick up my glasses. He did not greet me or offer any customer service whatsoever. His demeanor was cold, dismissive, and extremely rude. After giving him my name, he informed me that my glasses were Meta Frames and went to the back to retrieve them.
He asked for my old pair due to this being a warranty replacement, which I provided. He then handed me a box in a dark store and told me to open it and put them on. I explained that I could not see to do so because the lights were off and I did not have my glasses. I had to ask him to open the box for me. He finally did so, handed them to me, and I put them on and left--without any assistance, explanation, or courtesy.
This is my fourth pair of Meta glasses purchased through LensCrafters, and I have been a loyal customer up until now. However, this experience was beyond rude and completely unprofessional. Closing the store early, turning off the lights while customers are still allowed to enter, and treating a paying customer with such disregard is unacceptable.
You have lost a customer permanently due to this experience. I am extremely disappointed and expect better from a company of this caliber. Please do better.
Antoine was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was thorough and listened to my needs. I feel confident that the glasses are going to fit me and my prescription. I will definitely go back to this location for all of my eyewear needs because I know my eyewear will be handled with care. It is well worth the drive.
Absolutely horrible customer service experience at this LensCrafters this evening (9/22/25). I am leaving town for a couple weeks and really wanted to order new lenses for my glasses before I go. I was super relieved to make it to this LensCrafters a few minutes before they closed so I could get this taken care of.
Now, I completely understand that it's frustrating when customers come in just before closing time and want to be served. I've been in that situation myself, where I was the one behind the counter. But I think the best businesses -- the ones who truly value customer loyalty -- serve customers who come in before closing, period. They don't only serve customers whose service can be completed before closing time. Closing time isn't automatically the time employees get off work, it's supposed to be the time the business shuts its doors to any additional customers.
Not this place. Even though they had my glasses prescription in their system b/c I'd had my eye exam done there, they wouldn't serve me. And, when I asked them to print my prescription for me so I could go somewhere else to order my lenses, they made me stand OUTSIDE in the rain and wait several minutes while they took their sweet time printing out what I needed.
I was fully prepared to drop several hundred dollars on lenses this evening. But after this, I'll never spend another dollar at this particular LensCrafters location.
apologize for late review! was visiting INDY last month and my Maui Jim sunglasses needed serious adjustments. I walked in and was immediately attended to by the manager (sorry forgot your name) who was so friendly and professional. He immediately knew what to do to adjust my glasses, which had NOT been purchases at a LENSCRAFTERS, and did not charge me for the service. Absolutely recommend this place!
Hugely disappointed in the service. To start, I never received a call or email when my glasses were ready. When I did get them, the progressive transition felt off but I figured I needed to adjust to them. After wearing them for a month of travels and not being able to read my mobile phone screen, I came in and was instructed to call their corporate service number, then complete online forms, which I did. This required several phone calls. Two weeks later, I hadn't received a response. I called the store who put me on hold for 8 minutes only to come back to say there was nothing they could do. I am now stuck with an expensive pair of glasses that don't work for me. I'm reverting to my 3-year-old Warby Parkers and my family will not return to LensCrafters.
"From the moment I walked in, the customer service was outstanding. The staff made sure every customer was acknowledged and taken care of, creating a welcoming and professional environment. They went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction, and it truly showed in the way they interacted with everyone. I appreciated their attention to detail and genuine willingness to help."
Yunus, Austin and Jay are absolutely fabulous every time I come in! This location is a prime example of getting great care from your eye care team!
Dr. Tiffany and staff were friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and knowledgeable. They were even able to utilize my vision benefits to get new frames.
