Low Vision Center of Indianapolis

I see a lot of doctors for my multiple health issues, and this office is the most incompetent office I have EVER been to! This experience goes back 4 months. I was referred to this office by my eye specialist. It took months to even get an appointment. My eye specialist faxed over the referral, time and time again. They always stated they did not receive it. After weeks of this denying they received it, the last excuse was that their fax machine was not working. After sending an email to their office, I was contacted by the doctor, who apologized and promised to get to the bottom of it. Never heard another word from her. During our conversation she gave me the name of the office manager, her husband, after speaking with him, he informed me that the only appointment he had available was three months away. I confirmed the appointment. Two weeks before the appointment I received an email to go online and set up an account, which I immediately did. I filled out all of the requested information, they also requested a copy of my insurance card, I uploaded a photo of my insurance card. Never heard another word from the office. The day before my appointment, I received a text message from the doctor reminding me of the appointment, I confirmed that I would be there. I arrived on time for the appointment, filled out more paperwork, gave them my ID and my insurance card. I waited 40 minutes to be called back, at that time a young lady run a couple tests, said she would go tell the doctor I was ready. After another 15-20 minutes, the receptionist came into the office and said...we do not accept your insurance, I said you have had a copy of my insurance card for two weeks, and didn't bother to call me? She said she was sorry and that somehow it must have fallen through the crack somehow. Really??? I was not happy, in my entire adult life of 71 years I have never been to an office this incompetent! I would not recommend this Low Vision Center to anyone..ever. I will be certain to tell everyone that mentions this office to me, to find another office, it's not worth your time and effort!

My Aunt needed assistance due to her low vision. She has been there several times. They are not helpful and very slow. Low vision creates barriers and is a huge burden for people but Low Vision Center should be a place for comfort, assistance.

Very personable and knowledgeable about all facets of low vision. She also refers you to other specialists who are tops in their field. My eye surgeon and cornea specialist is top notch, and he is in the same building. Well worth my 70-mile round trip.

My elderly father had an appointment today. They were super kind and took into account we were traveling from a distance. I left feeling like we had options to improve his quality of life and we better understood the situation - which we did not really get from the local optometrist, retinal specialist or ophthalmologist. Highly recommend :)

Dr. Windsor is amazing and so are the office staff! So friendly and welcoming. We drive several states over to specifically go here and they know that and let us take as much time as needed to make sure we go over everything thoroughly and ask as many questions as needed. Would highly recommend!

My husband has wet AMD in both eyes now. His appointment this morning with Dr. Ali Prible was so worth the drive. The staff we encountered were professional, asked detailed questions and were very thorough. We got so much information from Dr. Prible about his condition, she offered resources and advice on helpful medical equipment. He loves the sunglasses he purchased there that fit over his prescription glasses. And contrary to some reviews here, we did not have any waiting problem. We will be returning to see Dr. Prible for sure.

Dr. Laura Windsor is a real person. She gets it and uses her experience and humor to treat her patients. Love visiting with her and trust her with all I've got! Her dad is also amazing! They will help you use the eyesight you have to its fullest!

Wow! This office is one of a kind! We have 3 children with Achromatopsia and Dr. Windsor has changed our lives for ever. We travel from Louisiana to see her and Will until she retires. We have seen so many doctors over the years and none were able to help my kiddos like she has. Thank you to an amazing doctor and team!! Contacts x 3 kids = 1 happy momma!
