Macha Eye Care at Fountain Square

Never will I ever go to a large, corporate eye care office again. Everyone in here was beyond pleasant, made eye contact, had conversation and the eye Dr was by far one of the kindest men I've met in a long time. Truly, if you can enjoy a vision appointment why would you go anywhere else?! Loyal follower/customer and will sing the praises. Seriously, cancel your appointment anywhere else, schedule here. What are you waiting for?!

I had a fantastic experience getting my eye exam here! Dr. Garewal was thorough and took the time to explain everything clearly. The staff (especially Mandep & Stephanie) were super friendly and made the whole process smooth and easy. The office was clean, modern, and well-organized. I also appreciated that they had a great selection of frames. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family!

Honestly, I am a returning patient and work in healthcare. I've been having some eye issues and have been calling a few times a week for over three weeks to schedule an appointment. I've recommended all my patients and family/friends to go here. My initial appointment two? years ago was such a pleasant and efficient experience I have been waiting to schedule with them rather than go somewhere else. In alignment with the other reviews though, seems like customer service has gone down immensely as I have been completely unable to contact anyone. I call during office hours outside of lunch, and leave a voicemail with all relevant info. Still no call backs. I understand a few days to a week wait for a return call, but weeks? I genuinely wouldn't be calling so much if it weren't affecting my work so heavily. Will have to go somewhere else, no longer recommend this facility.

I have zero idea about this business but they get five stars because of their fantastic use and application of art, color, creativity & provision of an eyeglass formed bike rack for cyclist parking. It would be impossible to confuse what they do here from the outside of their beautifully painted building that immediately draws your attention with the bold and bright colors painted outside in such a unique and indicative way. If you need help with vision I'd absolutely at least give them a try.

The first time I visited Macha, I had a pleasant experience with the tech and doctor. They were sweet. Unfortunately, I had such a displeasing experience today that I will not be returning. I'll save most details because this review would be much too long if I included every snarky or bad-mannered thing I received from my interactions. I called this morning to try to receive my glasses prescription. The woman who answered my call was nothing but rude and uninterested in helping me. She told me I could not have it emailed to me even though I already had an email of my contact prescription? She spoke to me as though I was a child or just stupid. She did not tell me on the phone -- after I had told her I was coming in today -- that they were on a lunch break at a certain time so when I got there, I could not be helped... wasting my time. This ill-mannered behavior continued when I finally was able to go into the office to receive my prescription. She might have been preoccupied by her sleeping child on the hard desk but that is not reason to take it out on others. I was so off put by this whole situation and am extremely disappointed. Hopefully today was just a bad day for this employee because I couldn't imagine speaking to anyone how she spoke to me today -- especially at my job.

I have been a patient ever since Dr. Hartzell was the eye doctor so over 25 years. I've noticed the last couple of years it has lost a personal touch. My latest appointment has me looking for a new eye doctor. I had my exam June 2024. I ordered contacts and purchased them in June. My eye doctor gave me a few types that would accommodate my eyes. I tried to get a refill and was told my eye doctor was on maternity leave. Ok, well I just need a refill. The receptionist informed me i would need to come in for a new appointment as she couldn't find my prescription. Unreal!! I paid in June for my eye appointment and it's good until June 2025. I've talked to several staff members and no one can locate my prescription. I now need to find a new eye doctor. My warning is to stay away from this clinic unless you want your prescription to disappear. Just a very sad departure for me as I stay loyal. However, the rude statements by whoever took my phone call has forced me to start looking for a new eye doctor.

Nothing but great things to say about my incredible experience at Macha Eye Care. I went in for a routine eye exam, and the technology used was top-of-the-line. I'm currently under Medicare, and everyone at the clinic was incredibly transparent about costs and what would, or wouldn't, be covered under my existing insurance. All of the staff at the office were cordial, kind, and patient. They also have a great selection of frames as well for those four-eyed enthusiasts. Two thumbs up all the way - highly recommended!

I have been going here for the last few years and the staff is absolutely wonderful. My doctor is Dr Borchers and she is so sweet. She always make sure you understand everything. She asked a lot of questions to make sure she knows how to treat you and she gives you the chance to ask as many questions as you want so you understand everything. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
