This place is amazing! Went in just casually looking at glasses one day and was greeted by the most lovely people! So kind, attentive and an awesome ability to pick out certain frames that fit you in style and personality. I tried on a few pair that I loved but wasn't ready to make a decision yet, no problem! They created a profile for me and saved the information of the frames I liked, no pressure to buy. That made me feel so comfortable about the whole experience. My husband did find some frames he couldn't live without, and purchased that night. We came back a couple weeks later to pick his up and they had me try on two additional frames I hadn't before, and they found the perfect pair for me! They scheduled me an eye exam with their in house optician who was ALSO amazing, attentive, caring. She helped me with my dry eye and also had some nice equipment that made the exam very comfortable and chill. Also while all this is happening you're standing in the nicest room that smells amazing! They hit all the notes! Honestly 10 out of 10. Happy you're here and can't wait to buy more eye glasses!

By far the best experience I've ever had at the eye doctor. The environment is warm and welcoming and everyone is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The exam itself was quick and there was no air puff used which I was happy about. When I came out of the exam, the stylists had already laid out frames they thought would fit me best just from the little interaction we had going over insurance! I was able to try on a plethora of frames and really see which ones looked the best on me. The stylists were so funny and took all my concerns into account. I left with my favorite pair of glasses I've ever had, and I will be back for sunglasses!

Had my first ever eye appointment with Dr. Lehman and she made the process so easy and comfortable! She did a great job of explaining everything the whole way through. Lyle and Nathaniel helped find me a pair of everyday glasses and sunglasses after my appointment. As someone who has never liked how I looked in glasses, they killed it and found me the most PERFECT pairs within 5 minutes max. Everyone there is so talented at their jobs and makes it a hundred times easier on the patient/customer. Also love that they work with independent brands, made me feel so much better knowing my money was going to a small business and real artists! I will absolutely be coming back!

Jess even pulled out some deadstock frames from her own collection for me to try! We connected over the our shared love of the brand Matsuda and their impeccable craftsmanship. What really sets Ra Opticians apart is the refined, boutique experience they've created that's full of Hoosier hospitality. Jess, Lyle, and Nathaniel are warm, approachable and genuinely cool people with a passion for eyewear. From the custom printed order sheets to the house-made eyewear cleaner (with free refills!), every detail reflects their care and creativity. If you're looking for unique frames, exceptional service and a genuinely local business that values individuality, Ra Opticians is absolutely worthy of your business. You won't be disappointed!

I've never been to an independent optician in my life but after my experience with the lovely folks at RA I won't just be haphazardly trying to find something I halfway like from my optometrists lobby. I walked in and immediately my style, the shape of my face and my prescription needs were factored into finding me a perfect fit for my glasses. I'm so happy with them that I'll be going back for a second pair and for sunglasses eventually.

Jessica and Lyle have created a space that feels welcoming, comfortable, and easy to be in, and you can tell how much care they put into both their customers and their business. Nathaniel is also wonderful; everyone is friendly, approachable, and genuinely easy to talk to and Indianapolis is lucky to have them! They have an incredible eye for frames and somehow immediately picked styles that fit our faces perfectly, including a few really unique options I wouldn't have found on my own or anywhere else in Indianapolis. The shop itself is super cute, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed, with state-of-the-art equipment that makes the whole experience feel seamless and modern. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable hanging out, not rushed, and actually enjoy the process. I know everyone's name because they're that kind and personable. Ra! What an absolute pleasure to work with everyone at Ra Opticians. From the first phone call to schedule an appointment, to picking up my new frames, everything was a 10/10. Jessica and Lyle really put so much thought into their space, frames, and quality of service. They are known for picking the perfect frames for your face and I must agree!
