Eye Care of Brown County

Dr. Gerchak has been taking care of my family's exams and emergencies for several years now. Exam rates and glasses are very reasonably priced and he truly cares for his patient's health and it is evident in how much time he spends with you. He has seen various family members in the evening when necessary and I really cannot say enough good things about his caring demeanor.

We have opted to work with Dr. Gerchak as our family Optometrist for a couple of years now. We now go to his private practice because he is that good. He is very thorough in his work and really cares about his patients vision. He relates from his own experience and gives plenty of time to perform all tests and shares his practical approach to improving vision health. His office is really small, but as the adage goes don't go on the looks, what matters is inside. His professional approach and time make him the best Optometrist our family can ever have. Also like other reviews state, his fees are extremely reasonable even though he is not in network for our insurance and he takes extra effort to help you with the claims reimbursement process.

I highly recommend Dr. David Gerchak as he takes whatever time is needed to solve any vision problems. He spent over 2 and a half hours on my first appointment working with me to solve my double vision problem, even going out to the car to find a prescription that allows me to see both the dash dials and far ahead and listening carefully to what I had experimented with and came up with a good solution. His private practice in the evenings and weekends is kind of a one man operation and does not take insurance, but he charges very reasonable rates. He specializes in working with mostly children, but also adults, whose eyes need exercises and other means to get them working well together and he patiently takes whatever time is needed to accomplish that! He will do just regular eye care also, however, and, again, I highly recommend his patient, thorough exams!

Have been going to Dr. Gerchak for 4 years and highly recommend him. He is very thorough and patient and explains his entire process to the patient. My college age children also appreciate the care he takes and his open manner during the examination.
