I want to say if I could give ten stars I would! I just had LASIK surgery 4 days ago and Dr Tharp/his team are absolutely incredible! So personable and competent, they answered all my questions and ensured I completely understood the process before making the final decision.
During the procedure Dr Tharp was smooth and quick. It took less than 15 minutes for both eyes! I was in and out! Pam was absolutely amazing! She stayed right next to me the entire time letting me know what was happening and giving me encouragement. That was truly so helpful and I cannot thank them all enough!!
The only thing I am experiencing post op is my right eye is bloodshot, which is totally normal, but I have NO discomfort or pain!! I can see 20/15 and it is absolutely amazing! I HIGHLY recommend Dr Tharp and his team for any and all eye care needs. They will take amazing care of you and your loved ones!
Also they have Care Credit card options so you can have 24 months interest free payments so you don't have to pay for everything up front!!

He seemed more interested in getting out his opinion, based on minimal information and incomplete medical history. He took a whole 3-5 minutes of reviewing available medical history to determine that a diagnosis made by other specialist/s, whom had a full medical history in addition to multiple medical exams and testing results, had misdiagnosed me. He offered no alternative prognosis or explanation of issues and/or test results which contradicted his 5 minute diagnostic assessment, or should I say "misdiagnosed" assessment. Note, the diagnosis was one which his colleague had a hand in diagnosing, who not even a month prior, had stated that it's still the more likely than not diagnosis, and the fact the treatment had been working reinterates that. Dr.Tharp flat out told me, they had no need to see me anymore, and he wasn't even the normal doctor I see. I have never been treated with such a dismissive apathy, by a medical professional.

I have had eye problems since the age of 35 and I'm now in my sixties. I have been a patient of Dr. Tharp since he opened his practice in Evansville. He and his staff provide the best care and always make me feel like whatever I'm going through is really important to them. I am prompted to write this review today because I am having a serious problem with my eyes right now and ran into an insurance issue. I went to talk to the office and Dr. Tharp came out himself to talk to me. This office works as a team and that is obviously to the patients. Thank you Dr. Tharp and staff for your continued good care of me and your other patients.

Overall great experience with all staff! Very patient and professional with my 3 yr old. I do understand that the Opthalmologist was very busy, but the only thing I wished went differently was time spent on explaining my son's vision issues with me more. I got very little information on his eyesight. I've never worn glasses, and none of my kids have. So I do not know much about vision issues, and would have liked it if the Dr. was not in such a hurry to move on to the next patient. Or at the very least, had his assistants/staff go over things with me. I asked a few questions to get a better understanding, but could definitely sense that the Dr. was rushed. I wish I was asked if I had any other questions. Perhaps, it will be different on his follow-up appt after he's worn his glasses for a month. I of course googled everything to get a better understanding. That's my only suggestion, I still feel the appt went great, and I do understand the Dr's time is precious. Also, I do appreciate the quality of work completed by the Opthalmologist, his direct staff and the eyeglasses staff to diagnose, fit and prepare my son's glasses.
