DR. CAROL HICKEY

This has to be the absolute best eye doctor that I have ever been to. The staff is very helpful and professional! The Doctor is very thorough, helpful and professional. Any question I had was answered and she faxed my results to my physician right away because in conversation, she knew I had an appointment right after I left their office. Thank you for a great experience!

The only eye doctor that I have found in so many years that actually care about each patient she see's. Carol Hickey is the sweeties and most caring doctor that I have ever found. The staff is always so friendly and tries to help everyone that comes in, or calls, they do their utmost to make sure everyone's needs are met and treat us all like we are family. Tammy and Keith are the two most friendliness people I have met, they are always chipper and trying to make everyone laugh, I will miss Keith though as he is going to retire, he could always get me to laugh, and actually showed concern for me and my safety last year when he found out that I had to drive all the way out to Oklahoma. The entire office is the best!!!!

I was not satisfied at all with the service. I called and received a quote on what my exam would be and when I arrived at my appointment the staff informed me that there would be an additional charge for the exam. They proceeded to tell me that they have one fee for contacts and one for glasses. I understand that but simply wished that I would've been informed of that on the phone. I left the office because I was paying for everything out of pocket and did not have enough for both exams. I then receive a phone call from their staff stating that I have a eye exam covered by my medical insurance and that I would just have to pay for the one exam. I was very pleased with this so I went and got the exams done. I later received a bill from the exam that was supposedly covered and it wasn't so I called VisionFirst and told them about the bill and they refused to take care of it. Working in management myself I know that if I give a customer a quote and it ends up being more than I expected or quoted I stand by what I told that customer, I take care of them.

Thank you so much Dr. Hickey, Angie Gray and all the staff at Vision First in Salem. My family and I appreciate you!! Your thorough exams (pathology & vision) have always been great! We wouldn't go anywhere else. Debbie

Staff was very courteous and helped me through all test needed. Carol Hickey is knowledgeable and professional in her job. I am always happy to see her and look forward to my next visit.

I think that these people are the best. The Dr. took her time and answered all my questions. The staff were professional and courteous. My glasses came in on time and were a perfect fit. I'm a retired Marine and don't like the slightest hint of unprofessionalism. None found here.......These people know exactly what they're doing..........Well done!!

All my questions and concerns were listened to and addressed. I felt very comfortable talking to my doctor and am actually looking forward to seeing her again for further testing. I believe I am get thorough exams and follow ups.

Absolutely terrible. After not taking my insurance 2 months ago. I come in today they checked my insurance again said I didn't have vision. Checked with my insurance office knowing I had it. Come back took them 30 minutes to tell me I had vision but I'd have to wait. Making me late for work. Instead of turning someone away call their insurance again! I will never go back!
