Dr. Helton and her staff are wonderful. The office staff is welcoming, everyone is friendly and professional, and Dr. Helton is thorough, patient, and truly caring. She takes the time to explain things and makes you feel comfortable and confident in your care. Highly recommend!

They got me in just 5 hours after calling to schedule an appointment for eye pain after being unable to sleep all night, and I was finally able to go home and go to sleep. And they accepted my medicaid. Dr. Helton even scheduled me another appointment on the spot to check up on my eye injury in a few days, and gave me a coupon for eye drops. She was very kind and thorough.

Staff was friendly, courteous and explained every process thoroughly. They have a nice selections of glass frames to choose from. Dr. Helton is very knowledgeable and caring enough to take her time to make sure you feel secure with any findings that arise.

Accidentally touched wrong button. Was cut off from my recent evaluation of Dr Helton and her staff. Was in the process of saying I thanked all concerned for their attentiveness. Came home and mentioned to my wife that I was very impressed with Dr. Helton and her staff. She hasn't had an evaluation during the past 4 years. She was looking for a doctor to evaluate her as we are relative new to this area. She called Helton Eye Care and made an appointment.

Absolutely amazing! Everyone from the front desk to Dr. Helton to getting glasses was so professional but were also so patient and wonderful with my kids. I felt that she checked and cared for my kids like they were her own. To say Dr. Helton thoroughly checked my kids would be an understatement! She took her time and went above and beyond! Highly Recommend!!

I love Helton Eye Care. When I've needed to get in on the same day they make it happen. Everyone is so pleasant and friendly from the front desk to Dr. Helton. The tech, Angel Simon, that I've had the last 3 times has been great. She has put me at ease. She has taken her time to explain each test. She listens and passes along on her notes to Dr. Helton. Thank you very much for the great care I get. I would recommend Helton Eye Care!!

This is the most unprofessional and rude office that I've ever attempted to use in my 46 years on this planet. One year ago my family and I had eye appointments with Dr Helton. At that time my son's were given glasses I too needed a prescription and was told that I would be contacted to schedule another appointment because I have glaucoma. No appointments forever made and I had to honestly let it slipped my mind. My general practitioner and I discussing my eyes 8 months after the fact decided I needed to see a specialist. To which I did. My eye pressures were twice normal levels and this specialist put me on medication immediately because I was going blind because of a certain type of glaucoma. I then received a cold call a couple of months later saying that it was time for my youngest son's eye exam and that I should call and schedule an appointment. I've been received a second cold call saying that I was due for my yearly appointment. I called the office and asked the receptionist if she could please remove my name from the call list because I was in the care of a specialist that I had a pretty bad problem with my eyes and that I would probably be seeing him from now on but that my kids needed an appointment. And I was hung up on. I called the doctor herself because this is the second time that the clerical person at the desk was very rude trying to deal with a very simple issue of making an eye appointment. Dr Helton called me back and she and I had a nice conversation and I told her that I still needed my children to be seen but that my eyes proposing a significant risk and that I would probably be seeing the specialist from now on. She asked if it was okay to let the specialist see to my special needs and that she could continue to service my family for our glasses and prescription change needs. I told her that at this moment I just needed the kids appointments to which she sent me to her clerical lady and I gave all of the birth dates so that she could check dates of availability and such and she said that she would have to call me back to get a better handle on a good appointment day. That was at around noon on September 17th. At 7:30 that evening I received a call from a number I did not recognize. It was a 502 number which is Kentucky I answered and a man was on the phone said that he was looking for Mr Johnson and I asked who was calling he gave me his name but it did not ring a bell with me before I talked to several people today and asked him to help me remember what it was in reference to he said that he was the husband of doctor Helton and that I had spoke to her around noon and had a good conversation. I said yes. He went further to say that he had decided that because the staff member complained that I had complained about not being properly diagnosed with an issue that turned out to be pretty serious and so because of that he wouldn't see me or any of my family and that the reason that they had not called me back about an appointment was because he had told them not to. This man called me from his private cell phone from his home and I had no idea who he was but decided to call me on my private number that he received from a medical doctor to harass me at home. This is a direct violation of HIPAA in the state of Indiana and it is also a violation of the American for Disabilities Act better known as the Ada I have never in my life been harassed by the spouse of any of my multiple doctors nor do I ever expect to be. I would not recommend these people they are very rude and they will allow you to go blind in a year.! I see that Mrs Helton is also a member of the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce. And in so must have an oath of office and a surety bond. I will be contacting an attorney and I will be contacting the Secretary of State to check for the oath of office and bond that is required of a public servant serving with the Chamber of Commerce of Ripley County Negative Stars.! 100% unprofessionalistic.

Dr. Helton and all her staff are incredible. Angel made me feel right at home during my visits! They were flexible , listened to concerns and made me feel heard! I appreciate and am grateful to have them in my home town!
