My experience at the Walmart South duff vision center was amazing. Michele was awesome with all my exams and then saw Dr Juile Larson she is amazing in all her work and is very professional and makes it a fun time. Stephane help led me pick out my frames and lens options and did an amazing job with awesome customer service. Kim helped when I picked up my glasses and got my new ones adjusted to me and answers all the questions I had and told me about my warranty I got with my glasses. Will for sure be sticking with and returning to these guys for my eyes and glasses care.

I am super impressed with the optical center at Walmart on Duff Avenue in Ames. I've gotten glasses here twice, as well my husband and son. The frames are reasonably priced and the opticians are very helpful and knowledgeable. They gave candid opinions on what looks good on my face, processed my insurance to give me the best price, and made sure the measurements were correct. I've had an excellent experience here each time. Thank you.

I walked in with glasses that needed fixed, and by accident they were broken while the ladies were working on them. They were immediately apologetic, and assured me they would fix the mistake. I believe I walked in during lunch time, so it was just one woman working. Although the wait was long, they were very reassuring and I had no issue being patient with them. They got them fixed with new frames as fast as they could. I am very appreciative of the lady that was working with me, and will definitely be recommending the vision center to others! Thank you Walmart!

This place gets 0 stars. I brought in my RXN from another Drs. office. I ordered frames and lenses from them; regular and sun glasses. They only replace the lenses for 60 days. I went in one week past 60 days with extremely scratched lenses on my regular glasses, to the point where my bifocal is useless to me. The lenses themselves are not etched with scratches so I can only assume that the issue is with the scratch resistant layer that was applied to them. I only clean them using warm water and the cloth that they provided with my glasses. They refused to replace the lenses and I refuse to take my family's business there again. Inexpensive is one thing, completely cheap is another! Buyer beware and purchase at your own risk!

Dr. Larson is a gift, and exams are thorough but carried out snappily. Front end can get a little busy at times, but that's not the staff's fault, and they are always pleasant and doing their best.
I've been to several private eye care clinics, and I was surprised to find such quality in a Walmart. I've been a return patient for 3 years now!
