Wow, what an experience! Went for a consultation, had to meet with 2 stops for preliminary info, then meet with the Dr. First stop took place after a short wait, the 45 min wait, then told at least an hour before I could see the resident, then the Dr. I left; their inefficient overbooking is a complete disrespect for the patient's time. I arrive early for appointments out of respect, and I expect respect in return.

You are in good hands at this highly regarded clinic. Not just good hands, but the extraordinary hands. Dr. Binkley is the best of the best. Her expertise and demeanor is reassuring and passionate. She's a very nice and understanding doctor who gave me time to answer all my questions. Also, Jennifer and Itzel are wonderful communicators and supplied me a room to pump breastmilk in for my 8 month old. I feel blessed to be in their care and observation. Great team.

Dr Salis and team were excellent to work with. Very down to earth, spoke my language, and really dug into my issue from the bottom up coming to a conclusion that multiple doctors haven't been able to figure out. I feel like there's hope for my situation, and I appreciate them for it. Highly recommended!

My first visit was very hard emotionally. I found out I went from 20/10 vision to 20/50 due to a work related injury. With little hope for it ever healing. After an hour of trying lenses and contacts the doctor basically gave up on correcting my one eye that had previous cornea abrasion/ scar tissue. He had horrible bedside manners. I was so upset by that visit I waited almost 3 years before trying again to get my horrible eyesight corrected. I again went back to UofI and requested a different doctor. I had another bad experience. I stood waiting for someone to notice me for 10 minutes with stickers in my hand for them. I was shuffled back and forth from room to room with very little organization. The nurse explained practically nothing as she was doing exams. She kept popping bubbles with her gum. The doctor I saw looked really young and "progressive" with skinny dress pants and long hair. He gave me a prescription and it 100% didn't work to correct my vision. I lost $100 in non-refundable glasses. He immediately handed me over to someone else for my return visit. The final doctor I saw was very unpleasant as well. He clearly wants to not be questioned. Well his prescription didnt work either. I tried to let him know in office that my eyesight was not improved with what he was showing me. He was super rude on the phone when i called and said the glasses people at Walmart were confused by how my prescriptions kept not working. They wanted to help me leave with a pair of glasses that actually improved my eyesight. He was rude to them aswell. So 3 visits to the U of I and I realized they are completely incapable of solving a small problem of correcting my vision with scar tissue in 1 eye. Im shocked they have access to so much technology but it's apparently wasted. It was my first time dealing with U of I and it has given me the impression that the whole hospital must be filled with unprofessional and unskilled employees. Healthcare in Iowa is horrible if this is the best.

I ended up getting there an hour early by mistake. They still got me in right away, before I was able to sit down. Was Awesome!!

They replaced lenes then told me I had serious issue swith things coming bac from wreck was suppose to see 3or4 years and leave it to me im already in 3x progression

Awesome! 1yr and half ago I was blind in my left eye after a work accident. They've recovered at least 75% of my vision in that eye, which is far more than I could have ever hoped for!
