Love my doctor! He's the best! However I've been canceled on twice and they keep moving my appointments out literally months Every time they cancel on me. Then when I call to see when my appointment is rescheduled the front desk is rude and not helpful at all.
I have been going here for years. I've gotten excellent care. Dr Beilby diagnosed my MS when I had blindness in one eye and made sure I got treatment right away so I eventually got my sight back in that eye without too much damage. I will always be grateful to him for that. He continues to treat me for various eye issues and I trust him. Plus the other staff have always been pleasant.
Went here over a year ago and saw Dr olberding and have wrestled with writing a review ever since. It was a terrible experience, he dilated my eyes without consent or ever telling me he did it (I have never had my eyes dilated in all my previous eye clinic experiences at other facilities so I had no idea) he then sent me on my way without a way to get home or informing me my eyes were dilated. I still get headaches in the sun. Since this experience I have since learned of him doing this to other patients including children, without their parents knowledge or consent, which prompted me to finally leave my review to warn other potential patients. I will never recommend or go back.
Posting negative review after multiple incidents with Advanced Eyecare's customer service. (I use this term very loosely) The lack of and even outright disregard for customer service has been an issue for years and the providers don't seem to care! Every time a member of my family gets an eye exam they bill my medical insurance. I have Avesis eye insurance and they are a contracted provider. The problem is, they can make more than the contracted amount by billing our medical insurance. This is the 3rd time I've had to argue with them and I am done! I'll pay whatever balance they say I owe just so I can take my family of fives business elsewhere. Oh and by the way, Erica definitely has the argument down. Good for you! Keep pushing people away and that new building might be empty.
Sadly this post has been a long time coming. I have tried to push the lack of customer service under the rug, but this last experience threw me over the top. I have mentioned the customer service issue to Dr.Z, and she said at the time (2 yrs ago), they were working on it.
I stopped in the office in Feb, issue with recently inserted lens in frames falling out due to cracked frame. Gal in the back says she'll check on the frames and call back. 2 weeks goes by, no call (sadly very typical). I stop in the office, am told frames not avlb anymore, can't help me. I said I want to confer with Dr, she'd said she would have her call me. 3 weeks go by, no phone call. Call again, explain to someone the issue, they will have Dr.Z call. 2.5 weeks, again no call. Call again, explain my situation, has me talk to Erica. I'm told they won't help me. They hold no liability for lens inserted in old frames. I did attempt to resolve this with the Dr., but apparently talking with her wasn't an option.
If customer service matters to you, go somewhere else.
I wouldn't recommend going here as they don't seem to care about their patients. They have canceled my kids eye appointments twice because of the eye doctor going on vacation. Then today when I took my kids for their appointments that I scheduled at my last eye appointment, I'm told that they are not on the schedule and that I missed their appointments in January even though that's not true because I got a call saying those appointments had been canceled since the doctor was going on vacation. I have an appointment card with the date and time that was scheduled at my last appointment. Instead of apologizing and trying to work something out I'm told I don't know who scheduled you but you aren't on the schedule and that they could help me schedule for a different day. I used vacation time from my job so that I could bring my kids to their appointment and they couldn't bother to work something out so we will be going somewhere else from now on, highly recommend everyone else go elsewhere as well.

theres been multiple changes in staff over the last 4 years I've been coming here. The current lady that's running the front desk is incredibly rude, controlling and unreasonable. I arrived 14 minutes late. She tells me there's a 15 minute policy and that I have to reschedule my appointment. I asked if there was no leniency since I arrived within the 15 minutes. I'd never been late before withy appointments of my 3 kids. She said NO and rescheduled me. She continued to be reductive in her vocalization. When I asked to see the doctor or manager and sat down withing 10 minutes I was told I can be seen. I was already upset and only wanted a response for the behavior and the lack of grace for their patients. I left rescheduled and in tears.
I treat people with dignity and have been a customer for 4 years. I'm a Veteran and Gold Star Family we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

On 2 separate occasions, my kid's glasses were ordered. They said 7-10 days. On day 15, I called and both times this is their response "the glasses just came in, you were on our list of people to call, we just haven't had time".
It seems a little convenient for them to respond with almost the same response both times. My family and I might be going somewhere else for glasses next time.
