Dr Banister is one of the most personable doctors I've ever had. Everyone in the clinic is super helpful and wonderful.

Dr. Banister is exceptionally kind, professional, and knowledgeable, with a warm and friendly demeanor that puts children at ease. He truly excels in bedside manner. Additionally, his staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every need is met.

Excellent patient care! Dr. Banister is exceptional with adults as well as children. Prior to moving here my son had seen a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and I was a little bit hesitant to go with a non-pediatric doctor so my first visit here in town was to a large vision group in Wichita that has the only Pediatric Optometrist around. Our experience there was terrible! They treated children as though they were an inconvenience and the staff was just overall unpleasant. I'm SO glad to have been recommended by my sister to see Dr. Banister even though he doesn't specialize in Pediatrics. He's extremely knowledgeable, takes his time with each patient and I love how he connects with my boys at their visit and totally sets them at ease. I have now visited Dr. Banister for my own vision care as well and was just as impressed with his level of care for adult patients. If you're looking for a trustworthy, friendly Optometrist who goes above and beyond for his patients look no further :-)

I took my 2.5 yr old in for an eye exam and I was blown away by the staff and especially Dr. Banister! They took amazing care of my son and got a thorough eye exam accomplished by playing games and asking fun questions. Dr. Banister reviewed his findings with me and answered all of my questions. By the end my son was so comfortable he gave Dr. Banister a hug and now keeps asking to go back. I thoroughly recommend Derby eye care!

So glad we went with Derby Eye Care. The staff and doctor were all amazing and so super nice. We were there for my daughter but I was just in awe that they included my son and let him sit with his sister and asked him to help. We won't be going anywhere else.

I absolutely love Derby Eye Care. Everyone is wonderfully friendly and seem to make it a habit of going out of their way to ensure the best possible care. Recently, a nerf gun war led to a dart in my husband's eye. The pupil went oval and, as it always happens, this was on a Sunday. I was able to call Dr. Banister that day and get advice on what to do. Not only did he help me avoid an urgent care bill, but also gave me an extensive list of what to look out for and what to buy to help him heal. What blew my mind was the text I received later that night, asking how he was. This is how this office operates. Genuine care for their patients. Dr B is amazing, the staff is amazing, and I will always recommend them.

Dr. Bannister and staff are amazing! We have been loyal patients and customers for years. We moved from Derby over 30 years ago but we have kept Derby Eye Care as our provider for professional, caring eye care services.
